Jim*
I don't want to lol I wanna be differentWe've all blown out engine up mate there's nothing different about that
Socks
If it blows... Would you be happy to buy and replace an engine... if you don't think you would, stick with what you have! Raising boost over 1.2bar is pushing it ;) Tbh tho, billet wheel will allow you to run more power at the same boost anyway!
akyakapotter
I guess your right socks I want forge motor but suck at saving my money and the noise the billets make is amazing. think I'll have to start transferring money in to my other bank.
amatthews45
At least get some gauges to monitor how much your pushing your engine Afr and oil pressure will allow you to see how much stress your putting on standard stuff. The right management is always a good idea you prob could push a little more boost with the ARP head bolts and gaskets but don't go silly.
akyakapotter
I have oil pressure anyway afr I used to have but was a shit Depo one management I already have emanage blue
amatthews45
Get a good aft gauge and then ask your mapper to turn it up a little bit at a time I would suggest a good oil and more services if your going to push the block more

daniel_g
Go for it man, most people are to shitebag to push the standard lumps haha.Although for good reason, they are chocolate Its all in the map though.
amatthews45
Daniel is right its all the map To much torque can push std right to the limits there are ways to push standard blocks without risking destroying it
Jim*
Best of luck to you, and keep in mind also that if the engine decided to let go it could also take out the turbo to leave you further out of pocket Edited June 27, 2014 by Jim*
H_D
Its the rods that will give up after 1.2+ bar of boost but should make good power safely at 1bar with a billet td04.
akyakapotter
So many mixed opinions that's what's I was looking for the good and the bad need to do something as 233.4hp just isn't cutting it any more
amatthews45
Might want a reduced torque and more bhp map big torque will kill the rods. There are people that will able to push the car more for you on std rods and pistons.
Ollieh17
Bit off topic, what is the accepted max torque figure for a standard 4efte then?
