Just fitted a td04 kit and started for first time without screamer pipe on. I have a tial 38mm ewg and i could feel the gases coming out of it. Should it be a tight seal or is a little seepage expected?

Thanks, dan

Sorted. Basically im being a tit. By not having the screamer on there, the washer/ring bit on the bottom wasnt pushed tight to the wastegate penny. My bad but thanks guys

Looks like you've attached the screamer pipe to the manifold then put the wastegate on the end? Effectly relocating it. Wastegate goes straight to manifold with sealing ring. Then screamer off that

Really ? You get the gasket which goes onto manifold then where screamer exits facing the floor you get the seal ring on the bottom of the valve along with another gasket and screamer pipe or no gasket if using vband clamps.

Looks to me that pipe from the mainland is just an extension so it's sat in a different place to normal.

Right, ill get on it tonight. The wastegate hit the rad hose with the pipe it came with, also the welding on it was a joke. Ill see if i can mount the ewg straight to the manifold so its not as far away from the mani

The setup is second hand. That pipe has been modified and rewelded by someone. The original welds on mani are excellent although a couple have been redone ok ish
