kyle_h95
Hi guys, I have a genuine lsd box in my glanza v, basically it wines when driving, luckily I know the previous owner and he told me that the gearbox was run without enough oil. Gearbox still goes in and out of gear smooth, and drives lovely, would I be right in saying lsd bearings? And if so anyone changed them? Or have a guide on changing them? Thanks! kyle_h95
So on closer inspection today I don't think it is my lsd, I'm thinking it's the input drive bearing, still not 100% sure, When coasting with clutch pressed, no noise, clutch out noise, I don't think it's a clutch bearing, purely based on the fact it's too noisy! Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, kyle!
5e colin
^^^^ like my box
kyle_h95
Colin, have you tried changing your clutch release bearing at all? Spoke to a friend of mine last night, he said he's had release bearings that have been noisy, and if it was his car he would try the release bearing first! Cheers, kyle. morgey
My corollas box sounds like a straight cut gearbox when you get into 4th and 5th. Pretty sure its the diff bearings as i can move the inner cv cups up and down if i lay under the car and wriggle them Lol
kyle_h95
I'll have to try and wiggle my drive shafts to see if it's them, Is a c56-02b a common box? Anyone know where I could get a rebuild kit? I've found a couple but there 600 usd just for the bearings!
morgey
Try www.amayama.com youll need to get the part numbers first though
FrozenJakalope
My box does this as well, I've been ignoring it as I can't usually hear it over the stereo anyway. Is it gonna kill the box if I carry on ignoring it?
