decdd19 Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Have the oem clips thought it might want the double sided tape to ? Quote
patman Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Double sided tape will probably work but for how long I don't know, haven't got any pics of the clips but they easy slot in place with the wind deflector 👍 Quote
akyakapotter Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Have the oem clips thought it might want the double sided tape to ?No need for tape oem clips work fine Quote
JayJ Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 One of the mounting points is cracked from mine, so can't use the last clip :/ Quote
patman Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 On the last clip I would use double sided tape as you have the other clips to support the wind deflector, I'm just thinking double sided tape would work but sooner or later it's gonna unstick and bye bye wind deflector if your driving Quote
Gainzy Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm taking mine off today al see about getting some pics Quote
JayJ Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) I'm taking mine off today al see about getting some pics Please do! I found this tape from a local shop, but I'm not sure if it's available in UK. Anyway it's a weatherproof.. Edited March 4, 2015 by JayJ Quote
Arnold Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) 3M usually do some awesomely strong adhesive tape, you could possibly use a blob of tiger seal at either end to ensure it's not going anywhere. I wouldn't seal the whole thing though as you'll never get them off Edited March 4, 2015 by Arnold Quote
funny onion Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Someone had tried using double sided foam tape on my GT and it just fell apart and looked shit, the OEM clips hold them fine without it no problems Quote
Gainzy Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Went to take them off but there is tape all along I thought it was just clips with tape at the corner! Leaving them for now or I will be left with a tape mark, good luck getting them on secure! Quote
Gainzy Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 anyone know where you can buy the clips?Don't think you can buy clips any more I imagine there hard to get a hold of! Quote

Ollieh17 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Held one of mine on for over a year with no clips and just tape. No problem at all if you do it properly Quote
Rich-k Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Bond them in place mate clips are good but on my old prelude and my dads skyline i always found the oem clips kept snapping, I've got clips with my oem deflectors for my 91 but not sure if im gunna use them for that reason lol Quote
