Socks
I think the wing is effective, in that it works. I really didn't expect any reduction in time until I get the front aero sorted to balance it out. I did my quickest last sector, which makes sense with the wing helping around the last corner of Tsukuba. The car felt more stable under brakes and around the higher speed corners. I did loose a little top speed down the track and noticed more understeer, but this could be a combination of pushing a little harder, tyres getting old/worn and also the track conditions on the day. Sounds like its doing exactly what its supposed to be doing! Which is great news. Everyone that's run one so far has reported the same so im pleased.... Car looks stunning now, looking forward to seeing it get a splitter!

kbond
Looks awesome buddy! Where are you in Japan? Me and a mate are looking to come over for the Tokyo auto salon and would be good to meet/see some starlets and tracks whilst we are there Keiran
jiggaman_16
A nice functional DIY front splitter should balance off things quite nicely.
EP82 Touge
Since the last update I added more camber to the front of the car (at the recommendation of NA racers in Japan) and also a Cusco lower arm brace. The initial turn in improved noticeably. A new best of 1:06.609. The car is still registered but looks a little out of place anywhere other than the track. More weight saving. Covered up with trim to make it look a bit neater. 15 x 7.5 +30 wheels. 225/50/15 A050 tyres will be fitted to these. Edited July 26, 2016 by EP82 Touge

EP82 Touge
I'm still not 100% sure what the new wheels are, but they were the right size and only weigh slightly more than the SSR's despite the extra width.
Gainzy
I think there one of those type of wheels where they either look great or spoil, they look so good on yours with the wings! K1 not on yet?
starletezy
How does the big rear wing feel on track mate? I got this one on mine much smaller feels good so far
EP82 Touge
I think the wing is effective. Also it should help more once I have more power and the front aero is balanced out.

EP82 Touge
ttestarlet - Bit of a long Story, but in short. Aussie living in Japan, working in the car industry. I've had Starlets in Australia previously and a colleague and I got bored of just attending events or working every weekend so we agreed to pick up a cheap race car. (He has DC2 Integra Type R) I had been keeping an eye out for a few different models, but when the Starlet popped up it was an easy decision. And very happy with it! MustakimQZ - Standard gearbox with TRD LSD. Unsure of clutch and flywheel as they haven't been changed since I bought it. I only intend to have around 200HP so no plans on upgrading gearbox strength, but I would like a different final drive at some stage. Gainzy - Just for you (pics below) Sard hot pipe modified and installed: Oil cooler with remote filter and thermostat installed:
