Countryman Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Can anyone help me My warning light has stopped working I've checked the bulb and it's fine and fuel gauge works properly What else could be causing the light not to come on when low on fuel? All suggestions appreciated Quote
ChrisssAhhh Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 There is a sender unit in your fuel tank that could be the issue. Quote
Gainzy Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Think most people's tend to pack in, pretty sure mine doesn't work neither I never let mine get under a quarter anyways so I wouldn't see it ha! Quote

Gainzy Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Mines the other way around the light is always on hahaDrive me crazy that would lol Quote
Countryman Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 It does not bother me as I've been driving for over 6 months since it stopped working but I just like things to work, I know I'm being a bit obsessive but that's me. I was told a while back that's it good to let the tank get low so there is less crap deposited at the bottom of the tank, don't know how true that is but it's become a habit now. Thanks 👍🏻 Quote
5e colin Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 mine stopped working to and i only get it to work disconnecting a wire on the pump !!!!! i gave up on trying to get it working Quote

Countryman Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 Where is the fuel sender unit located and would I need to replace the whole thing or can I fix the faulty bit that's causing the light not to work? Quote
ChrisssAhhh Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 The sender is in the tank attached to the float on the pump, best to replace it all Quote
FrozenJakalope Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I didn't even know starlets had a fuel warning light hahahaha Quote
