AdamB Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Forget twin plates. I'd say competition clutch. Quote
ashep91 Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 What competition clutch would you say? & orc clutch is it a single plate? Do you have one yourself Quote
Starlet__SR Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Competition Clutch Stage 4 or 5 Sprung. Day Quote
ashep91 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Silly question but I don't have a clue so have to ask whats the difference between 6 5 4 spring puck and organic ect Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Puks are like the spokes of the clutch plate. The more puks the easier clutch engagment is.So a 6 puk, stage 4 competition, sprung clutch would be the i would get Quote
ashep91 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Would it drive well everyday? And handle 300hp?+ Quote
H_D Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 clutches are rated by how much torque they can take not bhp Quote
ashep91 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Ah ok what clutch would you suggest for everday road drive ability and to handle 300flb torque Quote
H_D Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 personally I prefer the jap stuff, go for an orc - lots of people have had issues on here using competition clutches. Quote
rwdrev Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 orc for me, running on my 5e at the moment.best clutch in my opinion. nit too bad to drive either Quote
Bluebear Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I'm using an Ogura ORC309, lovely clutch to use. Probably not the best to use in stop start traffic however; it certainly doesn't like to be slipped. I can't comment for power as I'm still only on a standard CT9 @ 0.7 bar (lol!), but people have run them at high power levels with no problems. Quote
