Hammer and a chisel I tried the pliers and that just broke the brittle rubber off so I thought right you're in for it now hahahaha

I use a trick that involves an allen key, put the "L" in the spark plug hole and above the seal, give it a tap with a hammer and off they come

Decided to take the engine out today becuase how hard can it be....

About 9 hours, many many many swear words and plenty of cuts later it's finally removed.

Intercooler has been mounted... bumper needs a tiny bit of cutting and the crash bar needs shaving on the rhs but fits really really well

Turbo kit mocked up aswell

Just need to get bolts to attach the engine to the mount then I can build the bottom end. Just waiting on a valve spring compressor to get the head finished off

the 2 middle top bolts of the manifold flange might be tricky i had to cut my nut down to squeez it in there where the runner shoots up you will see there the indentation

Off eBay it's a Jperformance kit. Seems to be good quality. Very heavy piece of kit

FTE loom + standard management @4 -5 psi for the time being

I will be upping it to maybe 1 bar with management when I can. I'm just breaking it in on low boost

Cheers guys I appreciate the kind words I have a complete FTE head with the thermo housing except I'll be looping the lines and not running coolant through it

that will be fine im running like that to fully stock management 0.8bar no lines to turbo i get 10.8afr in 3d at wot so fcd on order to see what stock ecu really can do ?? .9 or 1 ????

I still have to order my afr & boost gauge before I fire it up
