tommcnaught Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Installed a FCD and my car would start with it removed it and starts fineAll my connections were fine any ideas what could be wrong? Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Take it off.....aim for the nearest bin with it.Worst mod ever. Quote
glanzadude Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Yes you have to have the supporting mods to go with it are ticking time bomb for your engine Quote
Matt1878 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Remove it... Don't up the boost if your car isn't running the supporting modifications required for it.Use either a plug and play ECU (has a more aggressive map from several different tuning company's such as blitz, mines, jam etc..) or a Piggyback/Standalone management system (These however need to be mapped on a rolling road but are there best way of running more boost and altering feeling etc) Quote
JDMfreak Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 this fcd was fitted to my car and car had no starting problems glanza dude I didnt have any supporting mods bar a decat and hks actuator I removed it as I plan on going for an ecusoon my car was running stock boost a stock manifold Quote

tommcnaught Posted August 2, 2015 Author Posted August 2, 2015 FCD is removed now, but still got issue where I need to unplug ecu then plug back in Quote
daniel_g Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Unplugging the ECU will erase a fault code, so it starts. You got a engine light on at all? Quote
Matt1878 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Try plugging the ECU in.. Removing the battery terminals and leave it off for 10-15 mins. Then reconnect the battery and try it Quote
daniel_g Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Does it come on with ignition though, then go away? Quote

mikey4410 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I had agro with one before took me days to sort.basically they have to be fitted with battery disconnected, setting 12 then when connected up to car, then battery on,start car THEN adjust to setting you require which is 9 lowest ideally. Quote
