over 300bhp without 3" exhaust ?

Do I need to splash out on a 3" exhaust to get over the 300bhp mark? I will be having the boost turned up on the td05 soon and don't want to restrict it. Which is a good 3" system for the 82 ?

custom made 3" is the best job mate

less retriction the better

will cost a good bit for a brand name ehxuast with 3" pipe

so custom job is normally the cheapest and then choose a back box

you defo need 3" for over 300 dont listen to anyone that tells you differ haha

You can clear 300 on a 2.5" exhaust, however 3" would be recommended. Bit of future proofing.

I have a 3 inch mostly system, with a 2.75 section under the sump, and a 2.5 section over the rear beam. Made 323 with no problems

I have a japspeed system with 2.5inch and make 300.9hp and 280lbft of torque. If you want to future proof then go 3"

yes you can make more than 300. had a customer put down 280whp on Gt28 on a straight through 2.5" (straight through, no stepdown at downpipe). you can PM me for dyno sheet if you wish.

Remove the bottle neck at the bottom of the downpipe

And you won't have a problem with 2.5/2.75 exhaust

Yeah just to add I'm running the truely tiny hks silent hi power front section it can't be any more than 2 inch and I'll make 300 no prob

my supra is 372 with a 3"... i suspect it will make a big diffrence when i go 4" but it certainly dosn't feel restricted.

on my mx5 going from 2.5" to 3" made 23more hp at thesame boost (13psi) and netted 269bhp, on that alone i would recomend 3"

both of those on ewg BUT rejoined after the downpipes as i dont like screamers anymore lol

if ewg with scremer then 2.5 would be plenty
