Sheehy StarletGT
So basically I was going purchasing afew parts for my other build. When I arrived at the yard this starlet was up on the trailer just after being collected but also there was another crashed starlet there aswel which I was going to get parts off. This turquoise starlet was in good shape but had a massive knock in the big end and was parked up for awhile but all the car needed was some love so I liked the car knew by looking it was good, offered money and a deal was done URL=http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151102_175827_edit_1447361876483.jpg.html]So the next day the car was dropped to my shed, I added fresh petrol put on plug leads started it after afew turns and the knock was like anything I have heard before. All I could compare it to was breaking concrete with a jackhammer. So then and there my buddy and I started to remove the engine and replace it as I had a spare 4e-fte in the shed. I transplanted everything from old to new the next day and the engine was then ready to reinstall. The following day with new oil and filter and having had Wd40 soak the cylinders for the night as the engine was thrown in a corner with one cylinder open to the elements which I never knew :/. Everything was in place, we primed the injectors, turned the engine by hand and cranked it afew times without spark to get oil flowing, put back on coil lead and low and behold she started and the engine sound great and runs perfectly http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG-1446683680038-V.jpg.html]http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/Snapchat-4918352257307849571.jpg.html]http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151111_135802_edit_1447361959567.jpg.html]http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151111_135827_edit_1447361701622.jpg.html]The car is mainly standard but has 1 or 3 nice bits.Optional door cards.Optional wiper speed stalkBlitz short route inter cooler pipe with Blitz bovJapspeed catback exhaust which is basically new.Ultra plug leads. And a very decent Clifford alarm http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151111_135905.jpg.html]http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151111_135931.jpg.html]http://s1183.photobucket.com/user/Sheehy-StarletGT/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20151112_143625.jpg.html]Plans really are to NCT it and tax it.clean it up and enjoy it as I am over the moon with it anyone have suggestions on what the colour is as the car was originally black and sprayed this colour. It greeny blue but I think it's too blue for 746. Thanks for looking.

5T4R7ET N/A
It would be pretty hard to figure out without a paint code, is it not in any reciepts or stickers anywhere?I can see the original colour is black but this blue has a nice tone.

Sheehy StarletGT
The car as it stands atm. Fitted new wheels as the tires are much better.I am getting the car ready for nct "mot" and that has taken afew things I fitted all new pads around and will be getting good discs I have cleaned up and fitting them. I have to fit new rear calipers which I have. I also must fit a new drivers hub as the one on it is loose and will fail nct. I tidied up the engine bay wiring as afew wires were cut and rewired incorrectly like the lambda wired to oil pressure sender :/. I have all that sorted now. I fitted new tie rods also as the steering felt loose. The car is only boosting to .4 so I must inspect the waste gate. I have fitted new centre section and rear quarter cards as these were modified and looked crap haha. New spots have been fitted aswel. The car will be legal soon and I will hopefully use as a daily.Plans for the future will be to repainted one or two panels. Tom's spoiler skirts and live sports front splitter or doobie.Engine wise I will maybe build the 5e I have and td05 it and leave it at that .

Sheehy StarletGT
Purchased a Stage 3 Exedy yesterday. I noticed the standard clutch was slipping under boost. Picked this up for good money and only 100 miles on it. Should be good for when I up the power

fiddlersport
very good clutch...It can Handle the boost well
Sheehy StarletGT
@colin, main reason I bought it tbh. Thanks for clutch advice aswel but got that clutch on adverts from Meath.@Dario, sound lad. Needed the clutch badly.@fiddler, thanks lad. Did you have one? How was it to drive? What boost, turbo setup were you using?
Sheehy StarletGT
So from above that clutch I bought was for a non turbo 4e/5e as the seller never said on his ad that he was building a 5e or he did not even mention a 5e engine when we were talking. I wanted to keep the clutch as it was basically new and he refunded me money to purchase a non turbo 4e flywheel which I was happy with. I noticed something wasn't right when I removed my gearbox and old clutch and offered the new clutch up to the flywheel and the clutch I bought was smaller, he also sent a flywheel with the clutch, I removed my own fitted that one and bolt holes would not line up so straight away I knew it was a 5e flywheel. I think the non turbo flywheel and clutch will work grand with the setup I have.
