turbo nuts starting to round

Hi im taking off my ct9 mani turbo and cat and the mani to turbo bolts are starting to round and the nuts are rock tight.any advice on how to get them off.thanks

cut them off if they are that tight

Blowtorch/Oxy Cet.

If you can add heat to the nut and get it to expand it will loosen it off.

Also get 6 sided sockets or RING spanners on there if you can! More sides on the tool, less contact patch you have!

Ive been using a ring spanner and wont budge either

Best bet is a single hex socket and a 3/8" bar if you can get in.

You can also get sockets which bite into nuts and bolts even when theyre a bit rounded. And Irwin sockets for totally rounded nuts and bolts.

Failing that heat fuck out of it and use vice grips, if you can get into the nuts.

Try run the car for a little might give it just enough heat to crack off

Cant run car ive oil light up and i need manifold off the get at oil pressure stwich to test the pressure

Why not take off the manifold and turbo together, makes it much easier to get to those back bolts?

I found taking the powersteering pump off helps to get at all the manifold bolts

Ive the top 4 take off the manifold but the bottom 2 of the manofold are blocked by the oem ct and the ct9 turbo

Ive the powersteering pump nearly off once it remove will i be able to get at the lower manifold bolt thanks.

IRWIN do a socket set that you can use for rounded nuts and bolts I think, might be worth a go

It is possible to get the lower two nuts off the manifold. It's just a little fiddly to get the socket and extension in. It's much easier with the manifold off.
