i went as a 70's pimp last year and i had the platforms and everything every where i went i either won free booze for having a pimping costume or got some ladies to come with me where ever i went (except bathroom before anyone says it lol ) that was good times im going as a sperm this year and one of ma pals is going as a knob and were trying to get some one to go as a vagina. that would just be a right laugh going in to town with that on.

u know when your a starlet driver when u boot it past people and they dont know what it is till they hear that infectious 'psssssssss' off the dump valve and when u come back round they all say "thats a fake dump valve go in reverse i bet it goes off"(fing neds)

if you set the sub up so its just bass and not treble it wont distort the sound ive got it in mine with 6x9's and a sub and the sub just gives the thumping for the bass if i had just that it would drown out the front speakers. if cameras could record sound good i give u guys a listen but like i said ^ ive spent a bit of time and money getting it the way i want.

like ive just poted on the other one thats here ecksjay is right. no offence to the lady but 2 subs in a starlet and ull probly lose a number plate or body panels everytime the tunes got thumping mines bad enough with one 10 inch. lol but the easyest thing to do is look at your pals see what theve done a learn from ther mistakes. the whole thing that u read in tha back of max power " matched amp and sub is kinna false advertising cause they both say 1000w peak. thats not muched thats putting number that are the same together. what i would recomend for the people who arent to in to the sound like ecksjay and my self who seem to know every little detail and are a bitt old skool about our views get a good set of wiring nothing bigger than 8 gauge run the cables right i.e power lines one side phonos the other ,and keep it sensible i know its really tempting to go and get the latest and gr8st but belive me,its been done before it's been on the go for years as ill tell you when i came on the seen bout 12 years ago with my pals and there brothers it wasent even new then. but have fun with it thats the whole reason we do this to our cars to be different to stand out from the crowd. but we also like to get good stuff that dosent break. if you were looking for subs dont buy fli its pish compaired to the black air get one of them or an infinity 12 really punchy at high freq's but bassy at lows. like i say try it in halfords they will have most of it on display and they can plug it up to an amp in the board go tryem out and blast it loud for me i now hate halfords but they got some usable stuff lmao

oh forgot to say to mattyCD dount put the round ones on the back it will sound baw get some 6x9,s and get that parcelself cut. the round ones will go in the front thou. need help gimme a shout if you want.

im with you on that one man. ive been doing sound sytems to all shapes and sizes of moters for years and years and ive gotten pretty good at it. some times brand names are good and some times its bad. sony shit speaker quality not enough power in the head unit but a 4 year old could work them. alpine really good speakers better head units but fuck up one setting ure gonna be in the instruction manual with a fine tooth comb. if you in to dance or things with a donk in it nothing beets a 12 incher. (lmao) but if your in to metal or heavy stuff 2 ten inchers will make it sound "punchyer" and acompany the music better but what i would sugest is make sure you get the wiring right it realy gets on to me when i see neds in there corsas and theve got dental floss for cabling and are like " aw this is 1200 wattts man at the sub. puire banging isn't it" omfg what tossers and belive me ive met more than a few. you lady is right up there ive fitted a couple of the loudest stuff before good quality comming up for compition grade and the fitting kit you get with it is really good with the battery clamp replacement included.But go for the four gauge or the 0 gauge if your going over 600 watts cause u want nice clean powere going to the amp. but dont count out the not so big names i havent heard anyone talk about vibe,fusion,hertz or harmon kardon (if you got like 3000to spend on speakers for the harmon ones) for speakers or the good old faithfull nachamichie head units. i had one in my polo was like 500 for the tape deck looked like a pile of shit would quite hapily leave the face on and not have a fear of it getting stolen. but get this 5 sets of pre outs 2 pre ins seperate equiliser that went under the seat an 5x 60watts (for the center speaker before any one asks) go to halfords and have a playabout on the board or ask them to plug it in off a disply one gives you a good indication of what you will like. personaly i got all fusion except for the head unit old skool alpine all the way. balls to that plan. the whole point of the fpr is to raise the pressure of the fuel in the rail to keep the injectors feed with as much fuel as possible. if you havent done anything to the fuel system then its an easy way to get the boost up (bit like freehorsepower) but like you man said it does mess the ecu about a bit but not to a point that u would really notice it. but it up to ureself mate dont let peole bombard you with info to do or not do stuff its your build do it your way.

if your just looking for gray and black halfords do there own but there actually cobra ones. come from the same factory and everything but just have an embroidered bit which can easly be replaced. but heres the good bit its 350 a pair of recliners with universal subframes which can be made to fit as i bought it and its in my n/a the now. plus im 6,3 and the head still dosent touch the roof lol. they are comfey thou.

i was lead to belive carolla's (bug eye) of the same year would fit it but it was the gti i got told fited directly and i havent found one yet to look. dont quote me on that thou mabey wrong

aome times its built in on the window at the front or rear sides look out for wave lines at the bottom of the glass. if not its in behind the rear view mirror. thats where thay are in most other cars ive worked on ive never cam across a starbo with one thou. is it a factory job like or is it one from e.g. a hi-lux that some jap guy (or girl) has fired in there to make it appear to have it. its not like a normal ariel by the way its like a wee brass niple from the head unit and the plug should have a 90 degree bend on it also brass in colour. hope that wasent to patronising if it was send me an abusive pm to make up for it but i hope this helps. lol

i was looking at that the other day he wanted 400 like last week for it i was watching it. dont like the front but the side and the back are nice. do the rear the same colour as the body but paint the square bit black wake it look like a propper diffuser. or have black tiped exhaust like mine so you cant see it but you can hear it. awww i want to do it now.

ive been told ts thae same as the corolla hatch of the same year for the bearings. but im not 100% as the person who told me is sometimes full of shit. check it out cause most people keep them in halfords dont as ive tryed to make them an all starlet shop but they just took that under advisment.

i once said once you had jap u ain't going back every one has there own opinion on stuff that's what makes us all different( and argue so much). i don't mind french cars the electrics are crazy in them the multi plex miring and the can bus. not necessary at all when there running base range sounds is it. if i have one more ned come and ask me to fit a stero to a citeron c2 or a 207 im gona slap the spit out him. but at the same time i have one of the later Ep91s and a few of ma pals have driven it and the like the more lively fell you get of my car than the get from there Polo's or 206's but i dint like driving theirs as its just not you car. saying that thou I'm not wanting to cause an argument but unless i had a pal with the same Kinna car i was looking at getting to tell me the problems with it i don't think i would buy anything other than jap or mabey a higher end German.

the havent made a manual for it. the only thing thats even similar to it is a corolla of the same year as it has the same engine but it does have things different like the inlet manifold etc. but if its just for small things like "where is the sump plug" then it will give you pointers
