    I had the same problem mate, I was 100% sure it was rings or the lands as that's one big common issue with this engine . Eventually it wouldn't start and was smoking really bad..

    I moved out at 18. It is hard to start off, but you do find your way I found as above food, FUEL to be right brain ache! On the plus side its great to have your space and that, but I miss my mum to so my laundry lol!! Now im looking to buy as im 21 and married. Time flys lol. Best of luck though mate!!

    I had a similar issue. I'd check for a vac leak if its jumping about a lot, Or as you said give the tb a clean out with some carb cleaner cause the butterfly may be getting stuck open.

    Yeah I got them to clear it and it did come back on.. :/ that's what I thought, very off for it to fly trough emissions
