Vw passat 2litre mate petrol.

No petrol, but I'm not entitled sure that it has been looked after, as the previous owner left a few pipes venting to air, which made it rub a tad lean, so yeah I think it's had an imbalance or mixture somewhere. All the code says is car not working , so I'm not sure how to cure a petrol car.. Other than replacing the whole cat, which I don't really wana do lol. I have had a thought come into my had that if it had ran lean, it's overfueled and just cooked the cat.. All sensors are good and all pipes were replaced..

I may just try ragging it lol as it was fine when I got the ole gal, also its just been " poodled " about so that can't help it that much in the long run either with regards to clogging and that.

Lol I've had it pop up on a Saxo before I used to own, couldn't get rid if it no matter what I did and emissions were good aswel

Hey guys, I got a engine light come on the other day on my non Toyota, I got it checked out and they said its the catalytic converter not functioning. Now it's not running lean/rich and runs ok, it just says it not working correctly. I know that ain't a huge issue aslong as it ain't messing with the air fuel. I had it mot'd last week and everything emmision wise was spot on.. Any sorry of feedback would be great!

Hey all! I've got my family wagon going in for its mot tomorrow and something popped into my head. my cold airfeed pipe to my air box is split and I only noticed it the other day, I've taped it up with some tape to cover it up as it was only a very minor slice on the pipe. Will they fail it on that, I mean I've seen worse stuff pass in my time lol

Common issue mate, I've been there lol you checked/cleaned your idle control valve? If not I'd check that next. Then I'd check the throttle body and give it right good scrubbing

Got the code read today and they said it was something to do with fueling, can't remember exactly what it said but was to with the actual fuel.. Code cleared and its fine now, very odd!!

As above, then check for vacumm leaks. I had a similar scenario. Was really annoying!

Na mate just a 2.0 petrol 2001. I' just thought I'd check everything tbh, as the pcv pipe was missing, crankcase breather and a massive gash in the air feed to the filter. i got all of them sorted asap, then code popped up. I've heard the coils are really shit on them engines though. :/

I just thought t was worth a shot to see if it I'd anything. Did ma. Smoother engine run, but their than tht nothing lol.

As above guys, do they work? Just I've had a engine light pop up on my car yesterday ( Vw ), and I've had a slight misfire for a while and I though I'd whack this stuff in. I'm curious as to whether they actually do anything at all, or is it a gimmick?

Oil pick up blockage?

Pulling the leads off is a good sign if they all do it , it's if I does nothing when you pull em off. Does it idle ok? Have you also checked the oil cap or bottle for "mayo"? Rad hoses should fairly firm when engines running but not solid otherwise gases are getting into the system which can only mean hg me thinks. Checked for any va c leaks at all? Others maybe able to help more

You can buy a set if brembos off eBay, I know " cheapbay" lol but I had them and they were great!
