  1. blitz dual solenoid, rock solid boost control. very very worthwhile piece of kit. had one before would love another. so simple to use aswell. anyone in the market for the best budget boost controller this is the model your looking for. Phil edit and no im not on comission from the seller, if i was him id re think parting with this for an avcr.
  2. agreed not to take anyhting away from the owner at all, just that the writers take serious liberties repeatedly to make something sound that little bit more dare i say it, abnormal. they are writers first, tuning purists second at best, usually not even that. Phil
  3. Yup 100% he never addressed what was used on that run. But octane was less than 120 i thinky, assumed from the fact he sneakily mentioned maybe trying it next time Phil
  4. i think td06 5e, headwork yes, 288 cams 347lb/ft 439hp TUT TUT bad job to read yourself back arguing with dave in that thread 4 years later!! plonker. though 373whp i dont know. Phil
  5. and dont forget, the magazine writes WHATEVER it wants. maybe in this instance Ryan is happy with the article, but in many cases people get slagged and laughed at by their peers for things they didnt say, information they didnt give and slogans/headlines they never suggested/wrote. friend did an article yonks ago, and they took the liberty of saying that he was the first person to start importing starlets to Ireland lol or something as equally ridiculous. i wouldnt put to much weight on the words written about an owners car in a mag bar those within quotations. hmm, ive an apexi NI backbox that would be quieter and smaller than your blitz, looks similar to the HKS silent hi power backbox. it should bolt straight on to the rest of your blitz system. if you fancy it just shout and we can agree a price (pics on request) Phil
  7. I used CCM, I know that Chris Carson is well out of your way over here in Northern Ireland, but if we are talking about starlet build his name has to come up at some stage He is helpful knows his stuff guru style and can do everything on the car from spanner work through to wiring and mapping. wouldnt use anyone else. until he tells me to get lost that is lol Phil
  8. They will be the same wee end pin fitment. Pretty sure Wossner use a high silicone content, which would lead to more thermal expansion therefore the need for more tolerance in the engineers rebore, subsequently a more rattley engine when cold. apart from that, get the appropriate comp pistons, flat or concave/dished and your sorted. Phil

  17. id take the oil feed and manifold if you fancy splitting. Phil
  18. not for me thanks, i need all four and i im not sure that the centre cap will go on ok on the front wheels as the hub centre protrudes alittle far. Phil
  19. Im pretty sure the P&play option isnt on the table atm from chris, BUT extraEFI is the plug and play megasquirt Guru and chris would recomment his built units. He would map fitted megasquirt no prob. Megasquirt is a great budget option with lots of tricks. Phil
  20. minimal, pistons once upon a time had high silicone content (7%) but most big brands now dont. i dont think that was ever an issue with rods, also you arent dealing with tight tolerances at all when notching a block or at least that wouldnt be a sensible aim to have. Phil
