If your not worried about wear and want the all out best id say hands down for road racing wet or dry a Toyot R1R is the best. almost a rally tyre, but soft compound is unreal even in the wet. Phil

it'll be a USA/china jobbie, they used to sell for a corrolla on ebay not alot, but needed reworking. hard to find now though. always worked really well when sorted to fit the starlets. I remember CCM used to sell them reworked on TGTT id go as far as saying these are better than C's (love jumping outa gear if you gaiter is tight) but not quite as perfect as TRD. Phil

its also the relative value of cars. a supra or skyline, costs 12000 for a real nice one, so a nice seat or wheels is the norm, after all forging a motor is only for mental power. whereas in a starlet/civic your build and buying ooodles of bits for a 1500quid car.... and then baulk at the price tag of the big wheel/seat prices. its understandable. Skyline - do you want to spend 1000 on wheels or keep your 1000 pound? buy the wheels gotta spend it on something mentality. Starlet - do you want to spend 800 on wheels or 800 on forged piston/rod combo? harder to choose the w

That was a fella Nistarbo (Anthony) from TGTT, must have been stuck on too tight, no doubt, but he did that by hand with your normal wheel wrench. he is a big fella but you'd need to be a machine to destroy a steel wheel nut. Phil

your static timing could be out maybe? Phil

depends what it is i guess. there is a rather large grey area where a boosted ct9 manifold is some random guy in his garage, versus a sard manifold. I know id rather have the boosted/zisco/wepr/Mr.Fab items in my engine bay over the sard junk. Rad caps/oil caps im happy with a stock item really. Chinese ceramic bb turbos.... arent for me. Rotas.... arent for me d1 spec wheel nuts arent for me either. Ill insert a pic i took yesterday from a tgtt mini meet yesterday to add weight to the d1 spec issue. and yes this is my ugly thumb no air gun involved.
