Just converted an N/A to turbo, and having problems with oil coming out of the center bolt. i havnt used a gasket (didnt have 1) but now got some gasket paper. would the O ring seal on the middle stud have anything to do with it, or do i just put gasket sealer on the back of the bolt head and tightn it up? any help will be appreciated

what do you know about it? is it still in the car to be heard running or even test driven? i have been stung enuf to know not to go on sumbodys word about any engine. if it cant be heard running, either walk away or get the price down to double figures. if it is out then its hard to do compression test, tho if theres a battery close, something could be rigged to wurr the starter. if possible, see if the sump can be removed and whip a big end cap off. check for bearing wear and any scores on the crank. see how oily the engine looks.

got it running tonight, big oil leag from the filter housing, so il look at it tomoz.but it sounded to run sweet enuf on tickover

not sure, all i know is the pistons have a massive crown on them. thinking on going down to .6 now, just so it has a chance of stayn together. lol

not too big of job, theres bugger all to them really.

think best thing to do is find someone breaking a glanza and buy the loom. (i havnt had any dealings with this but....) it should be a straight swap, going from na 91 to turbo 91. same shell, same dash and switches.

UPDATE!! standard 4efe n/a, 1.9 head gasket and 4efte head

dunno....£30 +p+p?? measure the cv nut center/cv end to find out the size of the nut that goes on. not sure if there is difference between auto/manual

there are also 2 differnt sizes of cv nut aswell, i got two shafts here, bought thinking my shafts were naff (later found out it was the oil in the box was shit for the trd diff and it clonked) and found the castle nut was too big from my gt to these shaft i had bought. there here if you want them and if they are the right size?

were thinking about having a go making my own mani, then see you mark about welding. mite have a rocker made from you, spy'd your thread lastnight, mite go order the stuff later
