try your sliders first, and whilst your wheel is off see what movement there is in the hanbrake lever, if it sticks then the cable is sticking. try the sliders before you spend any money

yeah, i was told this aswell, but i keep getting the more pure black and not the other 1. might have to go in and go mental at them, lol

the stuff they mix, the holts stuff, great quality paint, but nowhere near the colour. my local halfords dont have 205 in stock in there own cans

why is it that when i get 205 black for my starlet it comes like gloss black with some tiny fleck of metallic, but my car is more metallic and grey than the crap halfords stuff. where can i get some proper paint that ACTUALLY matches my paint?!?!? Cheers

Cheers Phil. i thought it wouldnt be hard to do and was fed up of sorting scruffy old ones so i took the plunge and had a go. yeah, that was the most fustrating part, got it in the end tho not sure yet, i was thinking £40 to strip,rebuild and paint them plus parts on top, also either your calipers or a surcharge +p&p i got my parts from camskill and they were all genuine parts. only thing i havnt replaced yet is the bleed nipples, because i ordered the covers instead, but can someone confirm what bleed nipples fit? Camskill only have them mr2 1's on there site, but i imadgine there all the same?!?!

does it still have the thermostat on the end? if it has pipes for turbo water lines then its a turbo 1. but from what i have heard, its only valve springs are differnt from 4e to 4efte

so whilst the car was sat for about a year with no engine the rear calipers had seized and was not upto much when on the brake tes (JUST scraped thru) so i bought another set of calipers and thought i would have a go rebuilding them, so this is what i ended up with, so the right is how they both looked and the left is bare metaled after a paint its ready for re-assembly 35mins later we have new seal and pistons fitted got 1 handbrake bracket to clean,paint and fit then i can get them fitted to the car. was thinking of doing some more if anyone was needing some rebuilt?!?

to do it right, you need to take the rocker back to clean aluminium, de greese, then ETCH prime the bare ali, as normal primers dont stick very well to the ali and will eventually flake off. once etched, a light sand then start applying your top coats. if you dont etch it it wont take long for the top coat paint to start flaking off. i just use normal car rattle cans when i do it.

crank seal? quite common for them to wear out

my emu launch controll is shit, but that could be down to other things, but (on the spot) i rev it up, it goes to around 3k then kills the engine, revs, then kills the engine and puts up eml.... not very good from what i have seen so far. not had it on the road to try it, but cant see it making any differnce
