Could this be my igniter, or whatever its called bolted to the firewall?

get a locksmith to break in, these cars are cheaper to have a locksmith deal with cause they dont generally have transponders in the keys.

No lol, none at all. I checked it all over like mad the day before japfest, up untill silly oclock making sure everything i could check was good to go. woke up late and missed the convoy as an ironic result, and broke everything booming flatout down the motorway in the rain playing catchup lol. massive fml times for me. my 'new' impreza is pretty dead at the moment too, stutters n overheats like mad.

These seats are great, I was gutted when I had to get rid of mine because of the awesome looking but unbelievably uncomfortable fishnet headrests, but these dont have em!

Chucked a new battery in today, still wont start. the temp gauge thing has moved over to the boost pressure gauge, that now maxes out when i turn the ignition to on. dismantled the dizzy to inspect cause its quite worn but my phone died so i couldnt take a pic to show on here. anyone got a pic of a knackered rotor arm/dizzy cap for me to see and compare it? would be a massive help. also couldnt get any arcing when i pulled one of the ht leads off of the dizzy and cranked it over, but i dont think its the king lead cause i just put that in. helllp!

Yep, struggled away with it, lay under it in a pool of water in the rain to get it going for that bluewater meet last night, and then it wouldn't start anyway lol. gonna get a new battery for it today and see if that helps at all.

Hey all, started a new thread cause the problems with my cars electrics seem to go on and on lol. I just managed to change my alternator out after it being sat for week, and now it wont start. when i put my jump pack on it it cranks a little bit then dies, theres no stuttering of life at all. interestingly, when i set the ignition barrel to on the temp gauge goes mad, way off the end of the end to its maximum point, and the engine light comes on. no idea what im doing with electronics really, i was hoping someone on here might be able to help with this!

tell the world why dont ya! gonna struggle to afford that, just blown everything i have for a slightly broken impreza wrx lol.

My impreza does this, stutters a bit when you put your foot down before boost comes in. sometimes misfires on boost too, makes a hell of a bang lol.

MORE problems lol. swapped the alternator out for the new one, chucked a starter pack on and cranked it over and over with no success. Im thinking no ignition, anyone able to suggest something please?

sat nav directed me into a dark corner of the place used for deliverys lol, its a right old mess of a place to work out.

ittle all marry up physically, its whether or not the preset voltage limiting knowhats are gonna throw a wobbly 60 odd miles up the road.

im 9/10ths sure its the crap on the end thats gone wrong, the bearings n what not on the old one are just fine. i also dont want to take something irreplaceable im not familiar with apart right before i need it lol.

Could really do with an answer to this tonight please, gotta put it in in the morning and do a 200 mile round trip in the evening lol, could do with the peace of mind that it wont die again on the London ring road or some shit :L
