  1. not quite the same, i was offered those not long ago. mine are multi fitment 15s, those are 16s iirc.
  2. Nope, nothing. theyre pretty light, never got a chance to weigh them. took a kirb side on and was heavily gouged and very slightly bent but still holds air, but all the suspension it was attached to was totalled, so theyre pretty tough.
  3. Theyve been on my car since i bought it last march or so. dont really have the cash to replace them with some grid v or whatever at the moment, but i cant find replacements anywhere. i have an awesome set of compomotive cx that i bought for 40 quid cause one was knackered with the same problem, just cant find a replacement.
  4. decided to switch out the shitty halfords special switch wired up to my foglights for a more fitting one, but ive no idea where the professionally installed wires go into the back of the replacement and all the lights at the back of the car have died ( no idea if thats related to me removing the old switch or not lol). took a piccy to give peeps an idea: anyone able to advise me on how to sort this out? this sort of shit occurs whenever i try anything involving electronics of any kind, i seem to just ruin them instantly. :L
  5. hey, had a bit of an accident in heavy rain a month or so ago, and knackered an alloy. Ive no idea what they are, they dont have any markings on the back other than its dimensions so i was hoping one of you lot might. take a butchers at this any help appreciated!
  6. curse you dangeestarlet! i needed that :L
  7. i have a fmic, freshly rebuilt ported ct9, decat zorst (still got precat), adjustable wastegate actuator set to 10.5 ish psi, and thats about it. its done a smidgeon under 100000 miles and makes about 165/170 psi across all four pistons. i want a bit more power without more strain, i want to have it as a daily for years to come. been looking around for a 5e block to help with a larger displacement.
  8. Oh cool, cheers for the reply Adamb. i see, i was just looking for low stress ways of making more power, if you need to upgrade your management or be running massive boost to see any real difference ii wont bother with it, cheers
  9. doesnt seem too difficult to set up, looks easier to set up than dry nitrous systems that people here and there use. ill ask adamb, cheers.
  10. Ive been looking at ways to make more power without putting any more strain on my old ass engine, and have gotten into the idea of fitting a water methanol kit. I was wondering if anyone on here actually runs one and could give an insight into the difference they make and whatnot?
  11. what part of kent is this in please? im temped to get myself a spare/ project engine if the distance isnt too bad.
  12. im game, i might be sorting a rolling road day for peeps in the area out tomorrow, ill start an interest thread if all goes well.
  13. finally, some starlets around my area. see peeps from time to time but stopped bothering to mention on here cause i never get a response
  14. Cool, and theres a joke to be made in there somewhere :L
  15. I have a mate with a mk1 mx5 that wants to join with the starlet lot for japfest if thats ok?
  16. i handed the above to my mot tester and he told me it was out of date and produced some counter document that meant my 95 n reg needed a cat test . passed with just the precat tho, trolled off without giving him any moolah for cats to be welded in :L

    5e cams

moved the whole powerband up about 1000 rpm last time, but that was n/a so i dont know if the turbos spool time would keep the powerband roughly the same on a starlet.

    5e cams

Ive been wondering about fitting 5e cams to my 4efte for a while, had a look around on here and couldn't find much on them so i thought id start a thread. Do all 5e engines have the higher lift and duration cams i want, or only the 5efhe? and what kind of power gains would i get from them with all the usual basic mods ie decat, fmic, ported ct9 running 11psi? Oh and anyone know what it does to your fuel economy? last car i fitted cams to had terrible economy after they went in, no matter how it was driven lol!

    offside hub

Thanks man, but dangeestarlet did me a good price on both parts i need and there's no benefit to receiving one before the other anyway. thanks though!
  20. phew, that's a relief, cheer mate
  21. I've got the same under mine, i thought they were from hitting speedbumps or whatever, but come to think of it they aren't even the lowest point across that area so they cant be lol.
  22. As the title, i know driveshafts are lsd specific, but are the hubs they attach to as well?

    offside hub

Another request here, got my car checked out and all it needs is a new hub and shock on the dirvers side. found a shock, so now i just need a hub in good condition. the closer to portsmouth the better!
