On screen ECU information?? - ZF TOYOBD1 Data Logger
turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Electronics
looking on logs it's bout 1.3 seconds flash rate ill post logs in next hour -
so i bought this little device from this site - jfbreton.blogspot.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfbG_h_PlrE i got the harness (£30) and plugged (£35) version down: install was easy with the plug: but a bit more trickier with the harness. due to me having a mk1 GT i did not have an ecu with TE2 pin nor did the wire go to the diagnostic plug so there was some messing about getting it to work for me but for anyone with a more recent ecu (non-green labelled) should be ok for plug-n-play. once setup it was just a case of downloading the TOYODB1 app from

Looking for a strong, braced VF35 kit for my 5e, preferably branded like wepr/zisco (someone reputable). as mentioned the manifold and downpipe must be strong, no cracks and have a brace. vf35 should be sound, no smokes, rattles, cracks etc. needing oil lines with the turbo although water lines arent necessary. if its externally wastegated i will need this too, only wanting genuine tial etc. no cheap poop! ideally kit to be already built with decent gaskets but not necessary. must be able to post as cant collect, any junk will be sent back. cheers ryan

i think i already know the answer to this. so heres what i found: looks like the spring that goes around the oil seals in particularly the crank shaft seal. since the rebuild ive done less than 50 miles and have oil leaks both side of the crank so my fear is that if i took the gearbox off id see a slightly larger spring off that seal too. i havent changed my approach to pressing seals in and other engines dont have this problem. the only difference is that i bought this 'genuine' kit off a different seller then usual (will name later) and i did question the kit quali

ALK bush looks very wrong
turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Chassis & Suspension
you could be a legend morgey! ill take a closer look and feedback later. cheers for the quick reply -
bought an ALK off someone on here about a year ago. reading instructions i saw it said yellow bushes and id been sent dark ones. quick google search and saw dark ones so cracked on with fitting. then saw it sitting like this: obviously not the right ones that came originally with the kit. so my questions can and where do replacements alk bushes? dont really want to buy another kit just to get some bushes but also dont want to buy another standard bush seeing as ive gone far enough to have removed and cleaned off the original. cheers ryan

Getting there.... -
alright, i was installing a set of these camber adjuster bolts by eibach. got them all on sound but then when torquing up (132nm) the lip in the eibach washer sunk into my strut creating its own groove. this cant be right, my understanding was the washer sat at a slight angle anyone else had this?

error codes 24 & 42 (auto setup w/ manual ecu)
turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Electronics
i had read about this being possible but like colin said auto = no acis. might just have to snip it?? not using hi-lo solenoid or s/th (whatever it is) eitherway -
error codes 24 & 42 (auto setup w/ manual ecu)
turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Electronics
Found the only link on the Web that describes s/th as a T-vis solenoid http://club4ag.com/tech-data/tech-specs/4a-gze-usa-aw11-ecu-pin-identifications/ Any ideas where that would have been on a 5efhe auto?? -

turbominicooper replied to turbominicooper's topic in Electronics
Actual pin comparison on both ecu. That vsv1 is getting a reading from whatever the s/th pin is?? Bc is boost control where would that wire go to?
