If you could that would be cool, I've got loads of engine movement on mine, causes quite a bit of exhaust troubles at times lol Yeah got very lucky had a friend working at new era imports he set me up with the boss in japan. I gave him £900 and he set about finding an engine. Asked for one under 60k, found a couple with small problems then this one cropped up, said it cost him a bit more than he was hoping to spend but being he's such a toyota nut he fancied helping me out Didnt get the gearbox as it was an auto and i had my one from my previous 16v 4age but i guess that means it hadn't been ragged as much either Got very lucky with it really i think it had done 19k when i got it

Im pretty sure the cold issue is just the stat, its got worse since fitting the civic rad. I did run it with the plenum for a while, was much better low down than with it how it is now, but the sound now is just epic, more than worth the loss of mid range I guess i got lucky with this engine, its low milage (25k) so might be why it doesn't use any oil. Don't suppose you have your old mounts laying around and fancy selling them?

Few hp, depends on how mad u go but yeah spool times should be dropped. Best asking people who have it done.

Its actually hand worked, but If its to be done properly yes, each port wants to be very closely matched to one another so you really need to no whats what as if you go too deep you could go through to a water pocket! If you are going crazy They can even be flow tested to get them equally matched. If you were just to polish them then you could probably do that yourself.

Yeah just opening up the air intake and exhaust ports on the head. They can also be polished, the idea is to get gasses in and out quicker meaning better performance.

It really does depend on your luck, how i didn't break anything when i hit a drainage ditch i don't no, I've seen bent rims and track rods from hitting pot holes at 40mph and I've been in cars hitting them at 80 and been fine!

Sorry to hear about that but will be good to catch up anyway. Tbh I've never run mine open, far to paranoid about a stone or something finding its way in especially since i don't have a under tray any more! But now you said that it is quite tempting haha But yeah mpg is great, mid to high 30's easily but i think my thermostat is sticking a bit as mine seems to run cold at times and goes on to cold idle and uses a bit more fuel at times Can't say mine uses any oil though, never had to top mine up between services or anything :s The downpipe isn't too bad considering how low it sits, i can still get my cusco lower brace on if i wanted but then i catch that on everything so haven't used it, my main issues atm seem to be the engine mounts being a bit soft. (age related i guess) so need to get new ones but being one is custom it makes it a bit of a ball ache! Getting tempted to buy a set of levin mounts and re-do mine as they are 22 year old corolla gti mounts and the design of mounts has improved greatly over this type. It probably doesn't help that im not using the front or lower torque mounts either, im just relying on the poly filled starlet mount on the back lol

The pot hole has to have been reported before and has to be over 4" or something deep. Even then you will struggle to get your money back

I lied the Oem cup holders go below the ashtray like so. Cant remember how much mine were, all i remember is i got them with the ash tray as a hole unit

The one above will yes, as the stereo sit directly on top of this in the din area. the genuine ones in the ash tray wont as the can/cup sits on the center console so are a lot lower down.

^^^ the ones up above go in one of the din slots, i.e under your radio. The genuine toyota ones fit in the small blank plate above the ash tray.

In all fairness you paid with paypal, before the month was up you should have opened a paypal dispute, if it had have turned up you could have closed it or as it didnt you could have used it to claim your money back. But yes he should have still replied more.

It actually hurts my eyes to look at it, and sickens me to think someone paid to have this done! People like this need a slap round the face from there mates
