The injectors are a maybe, as the ecu is programmed to a certain size injector, you put bigger ones on its not going to know the difference in size so would over fuel on a stock car. So if stock it knows to open them for .001 of a sec and that allows .001 litres through you put a bigger injector on that will still open for the same time but might let .002 litres through so would be too much fuel (only and example not accurate by any means) But with the correct mods from a similar car and engine the injectors would be fine to change albeit rather pointless imo, because i guarantee the stock i

I got my engine from newera imports, luckily a mate of mine was working at a dealership so got a fairly good price. Matt brown is a uk rep sorted me and put me in contact with miguel the owner (i think) in japan and he is a big toyota nut. His ae86 is nuts, but i couldnt recommend them more, contact was very open the whole way through the process

96 are bigger than 98 spec. 98 spec are the same as 98 spec corolla levin ones if that helps lol

Haha but i really want a proper facelift one

5j, id get wider wheels and save money on spacers. We would also need to know the offset of your wheels to be able to gove you accurate info on what spacers you could use ;)

Has he actually chased them up about it? Or did he just say get it done when you get a chance, as that usually means it won't get done!

agree £900 seems very reasonable. Hire a trailor for £100 or whatever and get a new lump sorted. Sweet gt for relatively small amount of work

Some very impressive work going into this, all the best for the following year

Thought id heard about them 4wd ones! A mate of mine, One of the local americans off of a usaf base called alvis built a road going k24 eg civic n/a 314hp first ever time down pod is broke the Uk fwd N/A record by 0.8sec's. ran a 11.2 lol Needless to say one of the previous challengers to the fwd record brought the car and is now doing more work to it!

Slam panel and crossmember, rad, intercooler dizzy (coil on plug) battery and probably some more Cant wait to see what gets put in here
-
Id play it safe the picture of the tte 1 on ebay is a bit deceiving, its on its side in the picture, the step between the pipe in to the box and the tail pipe coming out isn't horizontal its vertical so the box hides up behind the bumper and only the tail pipe is seen.

Springs will be ok as Sr's have uprated shocks over other uk models from factory. Altho as they are getting old they may wear out fairly quick so a new set of shocks wouldnt go a miss so whilst your at it get uprated ones. Spend more but spend once!! Spring compressors are a must but other than them a normal set of tools will be fine. Also sr's sit 25mm down as standard. So theoretically 40mm drop will sit 15mm lower. However some springs that claim 40mm can drop more. So see what other people recommend.
