Sounds good G If you can't wait.. Mr Burwash may be able to get some billets made for you... I wish someone would cam a na with quad throttlies with a crazy rev limit to see what it could produce... hmmm maybe I should do that next
-
It's really easy tbh.. It's in 2 parts fusebox to the front lghts and indicators etc.. And fusebox to the actual engine so injectors/dizzy etc... Simply just unplug everything.. And remeber how the loon fits round the chassis when you put it back in.. Also on the loom, basically one plug only fits the one it's designed for so it's pretty hard to do it wrong

You don't always hit fc at .85 ish bar..it hits it when the map sensor reads a certain voltage (can't remember off the top of my head).. I'd say your hitting fc aswell, my mates spiked to 1.0 bar, and then hit fc on a dyno run...
-
^ thats what I would of thought aswell...
-
Was gonna mention that dave did em, or get you 4e one re-drilled to the correct bolt pattern
-
The abs ring is on the cv not the shaft.. Use the 82 shaft with your Glanza CV I've got a ep91 '99 na and ep82 '95 shafts/CVs fitted straight in !
-
You can run both a BOV and EWG together, the garage is talking poop IMO it'll be fine without the bov, afternall, a bit of boosted air ain't gonna bend metal.. Ok it may wear seals a bit quicker, but so does fitting a decat & people still fit em !
-
it's hard to say due to what spec your building your engine to (comp ratio etc), the mapper your gonna use, fuel it's mapped on etc etc.. I defo think you'll get near it.. If not, enjoy it for a while, and then when you can afford get some cams in her.. Afterall, you make your power from the head, so that's where you wanna spend your money IMO it's not all about power n all, it's how it drives/performs in the real world, not what it says on a bit of paper.. You could whack a td07 on it, make 350 hp, but it'll be a bag of shit on the road/track compared to.. For example.. a td05 16/18g maki

Yup apart from the ones off the estima or something (people carrier) as where it hooks up to the intercooler is different

ah right that makes sense then, if the turbo to the mani was loose.. I wasn't sure which mani you had, which is why I put 'if' lol if everything was tight you wouldn't have a problem with an unbraced decat and cast mani.. What's the plan with it now ?
-
Ah right.. You gonna reuse the rods etc then.. As there ain't gonna be anything wrong with em..? That'll save you a bit of £
-
there won't of been.. Just becuase it isn't braced the turbo ain't gonna move atal when it's bolted to a Mani that's bolted to the head.. The only reason why it would move is if mark had a poor quality mani that has flexed/moved when it's become hot, but it's still gotta move along way to snap/break that oil feed.. My mates flange feel off his mani, and that only put a tiny tear in the oil feed.. (his decat was unbraced) I'm not trynna come up with excuses for this garage, as they obisouly didn't do what they were supposed to, but I'd be very surprised if just an unbraced decat has caused th

What gasket did it pop? HG ? It ain't gonna need a full rebuild because of that, or something else wad drastically wrong? Have you had the sump/head off to check it had the bits they said iniside ? Good luck with the new build

Also on a 5e, you'd get 350 out of an '05 18g on a decent map
-
The 06 bit refers to the back end, the 20g bit is the compressor side.. So basically it just has a 20g wheel in it.. So whether you have a td05 20g or a td06 20g, the front end is the same I believe.. I personally wouldn't mind putting it on a 5e, there is things that will increase/decrease lag... What size exhaust housing/planning on using cams? I've been in a 4e with an '05 18G and I didn't think the lag was too bad, ok it had some, but it's got to be accepted when going for a large turbo for big power
-
I'd have it apart to check.. Seeing as they've said they've used wiesco rods.. (which I'm 99% sure they don't made for ftes), aswell as the mention of an updated oil pump.. Once again, which as far as I'm aware, no one makes em for 4e's.. And finally if someone who's built a forgie has used copper pipes for an oil feed, I'd be slightly concerned... Car looks nice tho !
-
It doesn't really matter you can go as big as you want.. -8/-10/-12 etc

I've had one pop out on me before.. And used it again, and never had any problems.. Just make sure it's in good nick still tho!

Lot Of Air Out Of Breather On Top Of Engine
RobSR replied to kevink's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
I'd only really be concered if it was throwing quite a bit of oil out.. I'd do a compression test just for peace of mind -
Plz Help! Summit Has Gone Wrong With Glanza.
RobSR replied to chriswoodfto's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Check the vac line from the inlet to the map sensor.. If that's split it will hunt & run like poop -
Have a good look over for air leaks round the inlet if it "hunting". Also if you still need a clutch I've got a standard exedy replacement you can have cheaps

the insurance company never tell the police whether it's had the mods declared or not due to data protection or something (so I've heard). One of my mates had the police phone his insurnace company when they pulled him over, and the said, we can't tell you and they ain't gonna crush your car, for having no front plate.. I think he was just trynna scare you.. Which he probably did

Heres another from the front which im a little happier with, but still not how i want it! am going out again in abit to have another play! and some interiory motion ones aswell
-
^ yea the last two have large hotspots on, specially the last one which looks abit gash just needed to spend a bit more time getting the flashes in the right posistion, then it would of been fine ! Thanks for the comments tho ! May upload a couple more later...
