  1. HAHA Ha, thanks again mate...Think its been executed pretty well! -- So, some updates from this evening..Probably my happiest yet i think...Its been along time coming but i finalised the wiring for the custom fuel pump hanger and got it fitted this evening. I now have an in tank Walbro fed through an AN-8 feed, with an AN-6 return and breather. It works flawlessly - no leaks, and for the first time since I've owned the car the fuel warning light now works haha! Some pics for good measure, Wiring..all soldered and heat shrinked etc.. 2. Sounds good - look forward to it Good on you for trying different things.
  3. Hah thanks boys. I'm confident mechanically everything is perfect. It's the exhaust that would fail it.... Good old El eh Charlie ;)
  4. Thanks mate! Started re-wiring the fuel pump bits and bobs tonight..a couple needed to be extended which was a little fiddly but got there in the end! Gonna hope to have the new hanger in the car tomorrow IMG_3469 by Rob Fisher, on Flickr
  5. Where did you get the nardi from pal? Was that drift works too?
  6. It's not difficult to keep the head on with stock bolts. It depends how it's mapped and how it's brought on boost.
  7. ^ how would a 5e be any more reliable than a 4e at that power ?
  8. Better pic of how the finished article sits 12803075_1685164881737020_1774244700566172076_n by Rob Fisher, on Flickr
  9. Thanks mate - not yet! Gonna be the last thing i do. Still need to sort the interior out, mount the gauge and run all the wires etc. I just wanna hear it boost again..
  10. Exhaust finished, and bung for wide band welded in...just need to refit and trim bumper! Brake lines, then MOT! IMG_3459 by Rob Fisher, on Flickr Mounted the bracket for the fuse and rear brake lines. IMG_3449 by Rob Fisher, on Flickr
  11. All good from me too. Got some 98 spec bumper brackets to me quickly
  12. I look forward to it. I will be building an engine over the next year also so I'll keep track of what you do. Make sure to get a build thread up or drop me a PM etc if you wish. Nice to see someone else switched on on this forum. A lot of the japs used to run the RX6 but it never crossed my mind. I think I'm going to stick with a re-worked 2860 or precision 5*** series. My aim being 400 but with decent response. Interesting looking at those pictures and the ARP main bolts.. Do you think that could of upset things? Much like with EVO's.. A lot of people started changing the rod bolts to ARP
  13. So you want a 600bhp EP as a road car? Blimey. Look up Spuddy/AnimalGT/Zisco's/Dylan's builds. I don't think any of the Irish boys are running billet caps. If you hit 600 bhp at 25psi on a 4e with that turbo and GT30 spool on road fuel I'll come to wherever you are and shake your hand.
  14. Where are you based and who's building the engine? Be interesting to see what Turbo / engine spec you'll be going for to hit that kind of power. Or is it just slap a big turbo on a built engine, throw some boost through it and see what happens? What's the use of the car? Or again is it just an exercise to see what numbers you can get ? ARP studs are not worth it over the upgraded ARP bolts on a Starlet.
  15. Feel free! I best just make sure it's finished haha
  16. Yea man should be at Japfest or whatever it is at silverstone in April
  17. Thanks for the kind words mate! Means a lot - loved your V too. Shame you sold up!
  18. Thanks mate! Won't be to much longer until she can have a shakedown at a track
  19. You can remove the loom with the engine in still.
