  1. Some interesting comments lol. I work for Audi and have driven all of the above as well as having an S1 for around 4 months. S1 will shit on a lot of glanzas, even my 240 bhp glanza, id leave it in the S1 especially through some bends - better traction, turns into a corner better, brakes better even if you have willwoods/diff/rarb etc. Even in standard trim its on the back of a 400/400 evo. They're 231ps claimed but they run more. With a map they're 320 odd. Even a 4wd starlet with 240bhp wouldn't be able to keep up. The 185 1.4T A1's are like someone has mentioned twin charged, they're not horrible engines to drive, but they do have a little torque steer. 0-60 is under 7 secs. My glanza at 170bhp couldn't get passed one. The S-tronic gearbox helps. Could hassle 996 C4S' in that thing round the lanes. The 150PS Cylinder on Demand A1 i think feels quicker than a standard glanza too. Unfortunately times change, technology moves on a long way which is why imo its not worth me spending anymore money on my V. Just for reference the A1 in the video is a limited edition LHD only, its not the same as an S1, the Quattro features the older 2.0T engine tuned to just over 250BHP. The new EA888 is less powerful on paper but produces more torque. Thats in the S1 and new TT etc. Go and drive an S1 and try and tell me its not you driving it....
  2. Good advice here.. Look forward to seeing it progress, i was considering doing the same, but i just didnt think it was worth the money in the end., Espically as i could still probably drive my off the shelf TT round a track quicker than my glanza lol. One thing i would say though is if its soley a track car, which I'm guessing it is with that gearbox, don't put a quaife diff in it, use a clutch type plate diff. It still fits in the sequential box, you don't have to run quaifes diff.
  3. Both have different perks, but it probs will be a GTR lol. Yea I wasn't really sure how much it was worth. It's because it's not forged which will put some people off id imagine. Not that it needs more power with the weight !
  4. Yup, want a GTR or a Cayman.
  5. They are shit, seen it a few times before. Some of the Evo boys have had the friction material come completely away from the backing of the pad. They are multicoloured bits of cardboard.
  6. Thanks guys. I'm hoping it goes as one as I've not really got time to break it.

  8. I've got a car with a full interior too haha. Just want something decent that I can drive across Europe quickly, comfortably with luggage space. Done the GT4 thing, would consider a supra but I'll just end up in the same posistion throwing money at it. With a Porsche I'd leave it, with the GTR a Y-pipe and a map would keep me happy for quite some time.. I don't want anything I'm just going to launch money into and not get back .
  9. GTR or a Cayman/911 - getting old so want something more grown up and sensible. (Well sort of sensible, if I was being fully sensible I'd sell this and not bother buying another weekend car haha)
  10. Mines for sale if you want a nice one lol!
  11. She's been advertised in a couple of places now - 4750 ONO, message me for anymore details. Thanks.
  12. Year: 1996 Model: Glanza V Tax: N/a MOT: March 2017 Mileage: 140,200km Description: Time has come to move on from the Glanza. Looking for something abit larger and more practical. I have been in the starlet scene for the last 8+ years now and have carried out all the below work on the car myself to the highest level. The car has been designed to be tracked, so it is stripped with one seat, no heater etc. The light weight makes it good fun for sure. Its running apprx. 240BHP on the standard lump, but on the road due to weight is similar to a 280 odd full weight car. Engine bay has been recently repainted, wire tucked etc. I havent really seen another like this, especially with the fuel system too! Im asking for around £4750 as the car is unique and the work involved to get the engine bay to said level. Just needs a forged engine dropped in and the boost turned up. The turbo should do close to 400 on a properly built engine. Any questions please feel free to ask. The full build is here as theres a hell of a lot of work in this so its worth a read - http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/90944-robs-precision-boosted-track-build/ Engine/Drivetrain, -Recently refreshed 4efte - new timing belt, water pump, valve stem oil seals, rear main oil seal, injector seals and head cover seal. General age related marks, but its definitely one of the better ones ive seen. An alignment wouldnt go a miss as this has not been done since the new bearings/track rods etc. Front left topmount clicks and the wiper motor needs to be replaced. 13. Thanks mate. Got the screamer all fixed the other week. However I fancy something different now I've reached the ripe old age of 25, so if the right offer comes along she's for sale..
  14. I'm going on monday for a little road trip round europe.. calais > amsterdam > cologne > frankfurt > epernay > then finishing at the LM 24hr, am i f*ck taking the glanza hah
  15. Code 52 will make it run like a complete nail like suggested. 12 is no RPM signal, will also make it run like shit. Check your wiring around the distributor and ecu side etc.
  16. mine were fine at 245 at 1bar on a larger turbo. Not in efficiency mind..
  17. Yes stock is 2.3
  18. Looking good are the wings genuine or rep ?
  19. Thinner material than the exhaust, plus that's braced to the chassis, screamer isn't. Who knows maybe the exhaust will crack too 😂
  20. Sacha is remaking one out of thicker material and posting it out. I'll brace it to the gbox when it arrives 👍
  21. Nothing should of hit it as it doesn't sit below the bottom cross member. There's not many vibrations through the car as its on standard mounts and it's only done 600 miles with it on. She's not running lean or hot so won't be that either. Maybe a fault when it was originally made. Think I'll get the next one braced to the gearbox.
  22. Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words We do however have our first little issue. Nothing major thankfully...
  23. On idle it is, on full chat now its silly lol.
  24. yes the bearing is in two parts and they split once the cv is removed so that wouldn't of helped..
