Sorry to hear that, hope you get it sorted. Mike at Tuning Developments is sound.
-
That was probably me then - sorry! Hope you find another. Don't be too upset, it needs a clutch

You'll get em to about 370 so sounds roughly right. The 6-speed can start giving you issues over 420 odd bhp. 5-speed 600-700 has been done.

Like said transfer boxes can be an issue if you have a dump the clutch launch. If you take the slack out of the 4wd system and launch them they are fine. 5-speed RS boxes can take a hammering, they're happy to 600odd bhp unlike the 6-speeds.

So, here we go again! Thought id post this here rather than just in our traders section so people can keep up to date with what we are doing! I managed to secure a freshly imported 98 Spec for good money as a development car for certain products we have in the pipeline. Something abit different to the norm and some electronic / ECU related goodness to which I'm looking forward to implementing! Got the truck out and collected her earlier this week. This will be updated as we go, but for now, just the car and some wheel porn for you! Good job we have some wings coming that will house

Yes an RS is basic as it was the model the rally teams would buy but you gain proper diffs and more commonly the stronger 5 speed gearbox. This is non AYC. You could order a 6-speed if wanted from factory and then you would gain AYC. Same with ACD, traditionally the RS will have it , but you could spec a non ACD model too. RS is no A/C and manual windows etc. You can get an MR RS which is what I had, rare as anything but then they put the elecy windows and A/c back in amongst some engine differences too.

Well I've done both and I sold my Evo 2 weeks ago and came back to starlets, yes a part of it was business related, but I just find Starlets hilarious fun. The Evo is technically a better car, course it is. Stops better, goes better , corners better etc. Like someone said , very easy to get to 400bhp and you need a forged glanza to keep up. I had an RS so a more lairy one with the stronger 5 - speed box. Economy is horrendous but you don't buy one expecting to be good. Handled stupendidly well with the Ohlins and Cusco diffs I had. On the non RS models look out for AYC fault as circa 1k to
