  1. Haha it's true tho. Need to strap it on another dyno to see what it runs... Yea it sounds good on boost, it's so bloody loud tho haha.
  2. Yes it's got an innovate SCG-1 in it. It was never going to be good, just a let's see what happens exercise. But yea it's still asleep at .9bar lol. It wasn't particularly happy just sitting at that either..
  3. Thanks mate. She's abit of a lag monster supposedly. Similar to GT30 spool but that was expected from the turbo. It'll probably be too big for the majority of track work so will look to downsize in the future. Will have to see...
  4. -- Got the Glanza on the dyno thanks to Mike and Nick @ Tuning Developments. Just mapping up to the limits of the standard engine making sure the new fuel system is working. Its so loud you can't even really here the screamer open haha. Pulled 235@ 0.9 bar and 245 @ 1.0 bar on their Dyno Dynamics 'heartbreaker' dyno. Happy with the numbers seeing as the turbo isn't even really in its efficiency range yet.... Going to collect her tomorrow
  5. Did you take the shafts out and move the car when doing the conversion?
  6. Was going to say about sensor location? If you're running it to near the back of the turbo it'll be getting to hot..
  7. Check the 'gain' and 'set' settings in the boost controller. See what the starting boost is set at aswell, 2 psi above Spring pressure is a good place to start.
  8. Without being rude if you can't afford £300 on an ecu , how are you ever gonna get it mapped, and ever have a contingency fund If something goes wrong? Unfortunately they are little money pits.
  9. Top port to COM, T-piece other port from solenoid into the line from the turbo to the bottom of the waste gate. Some gates will run slightly above spring pressure anyways depending on manifold design. My .5 tial runs slightly higher on my WEPR godzilla due to the location of the gate takeoff.
  10. EMB is a blue bud. Seems a fair price if it has a field harness with it too.
  11. I was mate, you were chatting away about EVO's so I left you too it haha! Just putting in an emanage but we'll be going standalone when the forgie goes in. I'm up for Cadwell. I've got a busy may/June/July so I'm thinking August time as I'll have a new setup by then too.
  12. Thanks Matt. Dunno its not great but I'm going to get a basic map on an emanage over the weekend just to continue testing the setup to make sure it works. Thanks mate Im going to get a basic emanage map on it over the weekend to make sure its all working, but then yes standalone with flex, not haltech tho. The plan is if i can hit a sub 1.50 round cadwell when i put some k-sports on it with a diff and a new suspension setup ill take it off the road again and build it for the FWD series of Time Attack. Winning car last weekend fwd was a 1.39 basically lol. Don't think sub 1.50 wil
  13. I've got a scoop if its helps haha?
  14. Yes as mentioned don't bloody machine a car without claying it lol. My brother and i run a business doing such. You can look at the stages we take cars through here. - http://fiskeautomotive.com/detailing-services/ Also a blog on a new car protection detail on a Q7, you may find it useful http://fiskeautomotive.com/audi-q7-new-car-protection-detail/
  15. I've got a billet an-12 return you can have for not a lot if you want it. That'll fit a gt28. Use An-6 water lines - torques is a good place to buy fittings. An-4 oil feed. depending on your engines oil pressure and what bearing setup your 28 has you may need a oil restrictor like you mentioned.
  16. Nice to see it finished and running. Interesting figures too. I did tell you before that it would be heavier however you disagreed at the time! Be interesting to see how a properly setup 4e v this does on a track.
  17. Samsonas are very good. I found there kit which they designed for the C150 many years ago. It is however now discontinued and the ratio's were abit too short for most things. Id buy one of those boxes but i wouldn't say they are the boys. People like drenth / modena / xtrac are. After all quaife ATB's are poo for anything other than normal road use, so its good to see the box doesn't rely on using their diff too. This sums it up perfectly.
  18. I see what you mean.. mine needed to be done this way as the fittings welded to the original tank hanger kept leaking. I should of got a few made up! Cheers buddy
  19. Sorry bud missed this! It was more future proofing, but one of the main reasons was that I used a ptfe braided line so I can run ethanol/methanol in the future. Standard starlet lines won't like that, and the shear extra volume you need of meth / eth over standard road fuel is massive so a large diameter line also helps with that. I could end up running 1000+cc injectors in a meth setup.
  20. Apart from when you want to run alcohol in your fuel........
  21. Yes the speedo converter decided to stop working on the way back, took it apart today and theres a small rubber drive belt inside that has broken.. Think it was 3 - 4m. used part of the original stuff and crimped together
  22. Yea it's an interesting topic. A lot of regulations state with braided fuel lines they should be run through the cabin as they may get snagged on objects passing under the car as they are not a solid line. All the lines are ptfe lined rather than rubber lined and meet the stated MSA regulation. For things like time attack is perfectly acceptable, regs just state a fireproof overall must be worn.
  23. Finished all the above, MOT passed and a boosting video below. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7bXaH1o4wk&feature=youtu.be Few bits to sort then we'll pop a map on her.
