  1. Like said you may need to space it out abit..
  2. No standard shafts are massively different lengths, the OEM LSD gearbox shafts are nearly exactly the same length both sides.
  3. Right im very good mates with the previous owner so i know the full spec. Engine was built by Burwash, His usual spec + 1.4mm Gasket, ARP bolts, mild port and polish. EMU mapped by TD. 440'cc injectors which were close to there max safe duty cycle. AEM wideband, afr's were fine on boost, mid to high 11's, so not too rich atal. Oh car was mapped to 1.5bar also, the only thing i can think of was the td05 did have reasonable mileage on it and wasnt the manifold cracked? Could of been an underlying problem that might not of been spotted on the dyno if it had just started. So What id do, i
  4. Just make sure the shafts are both basically the same length, and you have the rear gearbox mount also. i dont have a pic but im sure someone will post one up.
  5. Think this was the GT up there ages ago when my mate was having his red glanza mapped. nice stuff mate, certainly gone through some changes!
  6. get a silicon socket if you dont want to bugger the nuts / mark them
  7. Good stuff! they look so much better stripped out ha.
  8. Yup basically, ive fitted a couple that have been ran in correctly, with the above oil, and no noise what so ever even at low speeds. the noise is the clutch plates 'chattering' together as theyve not been bedded in correctly. Essentially you run them in by doing a load of figure of 8 turns in a car park lol
  9. Ha I did! You were probably smashed ha. Hopefully should have an update in the next couple of weeks. Finally sourced some parts then it's fabrication time!
  10. Yea I'm not doubting that, I'm saying they knock if the plates aren't bedded in correctly. No one seems to run them in right which is why when people but them used, they complain about the noise.
  11. Did you have it from new? But thats not true, they wont make noise if run in correctly, and always used with the right oil. Ive fitted a couple that you cant hear atal. Cusco's/TRD's/Kaaz i believe are all made by the same people, so its not as tho the cusco's are the only ones that would technically do it also.
  12. Hmm odd. guessing its secondhand? First owner must of done a really bad job at running it in then if that still doesnt get rid of the chatter.
  13. Looks awesome! Any vid footage? Shame any bigger cars on the ring?
  14. Is that in there now then? My mate had a cusco with the same issue, and after some of that went in it was fine. thats what i was going to recommend.
  15. Awesome diff, but they shouldnt clonk lol. get some decent gearbox oil / diff oil in there and itll go away.
  16. Yea try it on the dizzy with a timing light too.
  17. Was gonna say timing too...Might be retarded abit much? tried advancing it slightly?
  18. Yup thats what tubby id go for, looking at something similar for my and my bros build.
  19. Yea going from pictures its an arashi td05..will still make decent power but id be surprised if youd get over 350/360 without abit of work doing to it. be interesting to see! What are you on then azz...gtx3071? Ah there we go then, decent numbers. ECU? unless ive missed it in the thread!
  20. It is indeed a lovely motor. probably one of the best reps going to be fair, and it has RG's which is beyond heroic.
  21. Be interested in the spec of the TD05 too...whats been done to it? going to have to be quite alot to clear 400..
  22. ^ Nah i think that is a fair point. I think emphasis was more on people who'll spend. 2.5k on an engine build, 2k on turbo kit, then skimp on management.
  23. Its abit to late now no doubt, but when i wasnt sure if i could remove stuff or not, i just unplugged it and saw if it still ran fine, if it did, chop it off. May be abit difficult if youve got the loom out the car already tho.
