-
I wouldnt say its worth it on a road car. poly ones will be enough. Billets will make it juddery as fook.
-
how mechanically competent are you? if youve got the time its not technically too hard to do!
-
No way aswell! Dont buy a forgie and risk ruining it. Guessing its a secondhand forged engine? if so itll alreay be well run it, so just go and get it mapped straight away.
-
Why does it matter if the owners selling it? Maybe he's fitting a proper cage, which makes that basically pointless. Give the guy a chance first! GLWS.

What ecu are you using? Glanza im guessing. Judging by that fault, it track the wire from the ecu to to the tps and see if its in the right place -
Old td05's are very easy to rebuild anyway. could have a stab doing it yourself then get the balancing checked
-
They backed up anywhere on a drive / DVDs etc?
-
Well that's basically the place to buy em. Duty depends if you get lucky or not. Or take your tdo5 off have it rebuilt with an 18g whell. Talk to Liam d on here, he might be able to help. Oh post the sheets up when your have it rr'd. And ask for an AFR plot, be worth having a look at again.

Can't you just format the thing and start again? That's what I do if I ever have a problem. Hate Pcs and viruses lol!
-
Id get a decent brush / wire brush and give it a good scrub with an engine bay degreaser.
-
Nice build looking forward to updates! Be interesting to see how you get on with the .6mm gasket and how it copes with det etc. Ive never been so sure about them as they are essentially a gasket designed for the 4e-fe.

Zisco made the manifolds for Dave's mild steel kits. Good price, and looks like one of the better welded ones too..good luck with the sale!

You'd want something with billet wheels to run it properly. Look forward to further updates! -
Thought the first hole closest to the rear beam was the hardest setting?
-
Always worth a look for something not that hard to do. Could have worn wheels etc. put some pics up if your not sure. If you want a cheaper td05 look at arashi/kingugawa or whatever there called. Made by a company called Kamak which are actually very good . Not your usual cheap eBay shit.

Nice build! Lot of work gone into it Dont run antilag on a standard td05, well unless you want it to last five minutes lol! -
..or restrict the inlet or outlet. Another option is putting a restrictor ring in the exhaust, then raising the boost back up to a solid .7/.8 bar with an EBC. Its surprising no one really uses this method on starlets. But yea just go td04 ha.

^ Its a HDi one. Pipes are the same / right diameters for everything all the way round. Sort the front section of the exhaust, 550cc injectors and a map tweak and see what happens. If its still cack then look at the turbo. Tbh me being me, id just slap a new TD05 18G or something on there, not as though the engine wont handle it.

My motto is if it runs fine without it, get rid of it. especially if your putting the car on a diet!
-
Yup as said Cat temp sensor.

Well technically it doesnt use GT rods, but if they hang together who cares! Looking forward to see hoe it goes!
