  1. Another thought didnt you extend some of your loom aswell? double checked thats all ok?
  2. When does it start to overheat? When standing? Cruising? When booting it? Could be lucky and its only a sticky thermostat, but if its been driven low on coolant it could be HG issues...
  3. Forge it and TD05 time if your bored then ha
  4. Just put the stock inlet back on? Does sound like a right ball bag, not gonna lie, the welding on some of them does look abit helm so hopefully the leak is just a vac not the weld. Dont break the car because of that tho, cant be defeated by an inlet manifold lol.
  5. We'll the rev limiter and launch works in the same way. So I'd just avoid it personally
  6. Well they work, but they shag things at the same time for numerous amounts of reasons. Think i was one of the first to fit one properly and it was ages ago on one of my brothers '82's. The bee*r instructions provided with them were actually wrong lol. Basically dont run one if you want your engine to last / stay in one piece
  7. I see, well they are all different so you must of been a lucky one!
  8. Hybrids usually have ported wastegates which is why that wouldnt of crept.
  9. Hes already got the HDi rep was just asking if its worth changing to the other one pictured.
  10. Its pretty common, or a restrictor on the inlet which is whats used in WRC. It sort of does go against the point, but so does fitting a larger bore exhaust and hitting fuel cut all the time... Its just another option and easier way than porting the wastegate thats all.

    ???

You can specify a sunroof compatible one when you order one from cusco.
  12. Yea its worth having a boost gauge but its not the end of the world for a relatively standard car. Fuel cut is there to stop it going pop remember. Tbh with a filter in the standard location you might be fine and not hit fuel cut. The way around it is either restricting the intake or the exhaust. Just fitting a HKS actuator or Emanage will not sort it. Everyone is saying port the waste gate, which is a ballache of work to take it all off. What you can do, which is easier is fit a restrictor ring in the exahust, which will lower the boost, then raise it backup with a boost controller.
  13. Ah i see. Id assume that it would be 45mm with maybe a 50mm hoop but it all looked pretty chunky from the photos!
  14. No point in changing the cooler personally. Oil cooler..Do you track the car? and whats your spec?
  15. Only ever used halfrauds stuff with decent lacquer and never had a problem.
  16. People keep asking for this, we started one off in 2008!! http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/10013-14-mile-times-and-top-10-leader-board/
  17. Good stuff..!is all that tubbing 50mm?
  18. The VXR isnt a 'BTCC wanabe' seeing as its raced in TA. Was interesting to see how the starlet stacked up against it tho! Exactly, everyone makes mistakes everynow and then, he pulled over and let you pass, nothing wrong with that IMO, unlike that turnip in the E36....its a bummer you got a fooked windscreen however!
  19. Nice drive. Good to see someone driving a starlet properly on track
  20. ^ very true and they aint exactly small like a magnetic sump plug lol
  21. You can get loads of adapters. or better have an10 fittings welded on to the catch can instead.
  22. Even im waiting for these ha! Hahahah this is true tho. Rear beam is beyond hash. Doesnt mean we dont like starlets dude, but you cant say they dont have their faults. Everything does. But yea the starlets strongest point is its weight advantage.
