  1. Like said, remove the middle box, the front section of them isnt massive large either.
  2. Buy a GT engine with all the bits, + map sensor, dizzy, ignitor, coil, gt ecu, and engine loom. Splice engine loom into the n/a. They are very similar.
  3. Might even have the banzai with that in kicking about somewhere...Lovely colour by the way! forgot to comment on that haha.
  4. ^ Burwash ran his own aftermarket one. I think it was aze_b or someone back in the day who had the standard one cut down.
  5. No worries. Just make sure you have that vacuum on before you give it any ted otherwise you'll have unlimited boost
  6. Yea, and where does that say the shaft will spin backwards? It doesnt. Im not disagreeing with it saying air starts going round the system the wrong way, it does, but the shaft will never spin the wrong way. Every starlet ive ever built hasnt had a bov, and plenty of high boost race engines are built without them aswell with no problems. Got to remember turbosmart have gotta sell their products one way or another. There not going to be saying, you dont need a BOV there poinltess, when its one of their main products.
  7. Either positioned close to the throttle body or turbo outlet is the best place for a DV. Or just don't run one.
  8. Oh LOL. I was waiting for someone to say it. It won't spin backwards. Think about it...the turbine wheel is constantly being driven by exhaust gases. It ain't gonna spin backwards, it's not possible.
  9. One from the side port on the wastegate to a vacuum source so either the turbo or Inlet manifold. From the turbo is better. Leave the top port open if your not using a boost controller. Put the vac from the dump valve to a vacuum source also like the inlet. Ah dan beat me too it!
  10. You can't map to MBT on the road , which is why it's not brilliant.
  11. Once its been mapped on an RR, it always will be checked by the mapper on the road. A full map on the road is just gash tho.
  12. ^ that is a blast from the past! i remember that in banzai ages ago. Was one of the first TD04 glanzas if i can remember
  13. Rolling Road, whoever says the road is a pleb.
  14. Take the sump of and have a look at the mains/journals etc... Could be small ends also if you think its coming from nearer the top of the engine tho.
  15. I dont think that goes to the rear lights, but the fuel pump etc, its been a while so i cant remember totally. but for the rear lights im pretty sure it runs down the drivers door sill to the back, then theres one down the roof for high level brake light etc too.
  16. ^ thats probably your problem. when i did it i needed it as the plugs for the back wouldnt tie in with the dash loom properly.
  17. Technically i dont think fuel cut is measured in a set psi. Its done as a voltage reading to the ecu so all cars are slightly different
  18. Is yours a conversion from an n/a? did you swap the loom that goes down the driver door sill to the back of the car with a glanza one also?
  19. They are the same part number, so they are the same lol.
  20. Yup that is true in that sense. Whoever id use to build my engine i wouldnt get them to be mapping it tho...
  21. Head bolts and gasket are the same part number for both engines.
  22. Well it still can be..tbh if forgies go wrong no one wants to take blame. Builder will blame the mapper, mapper will blame the builder etc etc.
  23. No it wont, and i doubt the clutch would last long either at that.
