Dizzy

Hey guys. After the summer I'll be buying a red UK spec SR starlet 4efe as a project. I'm going to be rebuilding everything from the ground up, not going to ridiculous power (around 200bhp) just want a very clean example of a glanza, in red lol. I would buy another glanza and use it as a project but im thinking it would be cheaper, and make the car more 'my own' if I fully re-do and build it myself, and it'll be fun lol. I have a glanza now, on 220,000 KMS's, its in good condition for the age but by the time I pay for a respray (want a red glanza :/) in the door shuts and engine bay, wire tuck etc etc and strip it all down and back up again, and I'll need a car to use in the process, So I was thinking I could keep using my glanza whilst I prepped the SR, got all the bodywork, suspension, etc done. And switched the engine, loom, box, intercooler, exhaust over in a weekend (hopefully) I'll be using all the interior plastics etc, basically everything from the glanza into the SR, except the bumpers as I'll be going for a varis kit and bonnet. Has anybody else done this before? I know it may seem pointless whilst I have a decent, working order glanza, but its soemthing I'd like to do Anything I need to know before I attempt this? Any big differences between the SR and the Glanza shell/chassis? Thanks for reading, and thanks in advanc for any help

Right guys and girls, just goign to pick your brains Had the glanza for a few months, but everythings been mad hectic so I've had no time to do anything with it, except the school runs in the morning. It needs Tax and MOT t the end of this month but I've let the workload pile up. Basically does anybody know a good website (not ebay) to buy all serice items and brake discs and pads all round? I've trawelled google and not found too many websites that will sell the whole lot at a fairly good price, camskill dont have rear abs discs? Also its fitted with a decat, my old 1993 EP82 got past being a pre 94 import (or something similar) but my glanza's a 96, will it pass emmisions or is it going to be a ballache? I've herd some stations fail the car simply for not having the cat present? Thanks in advance

just move out my home, sold my s2k and back with the parents. 7 years and 2 kids, and shes not exactly understanding. Some weeks on ok speaking terms, others shes gona wacko and never wants to hear of me again. What I did? Bought a glanza, and boost everywhere. much happy. so boost. very fun

I know a new barrel for the ignition is £70 but apparently it won't come with a key so indeed to have one made up. I spoke to toyota last week because I lost my only key :/ the guy at the parts desk was a little bit of a dick though so maybe try your local one.

A couple for now, was a few years ago so taken with a potato started life as an EK4 in silver, b16b conversion, all panels replaced etc. carpet, plastics, everything taken from an EK9 but the 4 was in better condition so resprayed it championship white

Haven't got a laptop anymore just my ipad, I'll open a photobucket account or similar and put some pics of previous cars up and thanks. It didn't live very long, piston ring in cylinder 3 failed.. But boost + vtech sounds awesome

Hey, thought I'd rejoin here lol. Owned a hybrid quad ep82 in 2009 and and ep91 glanza in 2011, and I'm looking to get another this week again lol. Had a few nice jap cars since, EK9 turbo, s2000 but I miss the 4efte so hopefully be running in one ready for next year so heyyyy lol

Old bump, dark jackal was my old user, back under Dizzy just recently sold my S2000 and looking at getting another EP so hopefully b back again, 3rd time lucky haha
