  1. Isn't this test like 10 years old now? Seems to crop up all the time. Id like to see something more scientific and up to date than an air filter stuck on a hoover lol.

  3. Restricts air flow, preventing spiking, giving more stable boost. Not many people use them and they make little difference.
  4. Its probably just pushed on too far so its catching on the facia.
  5. ^^^ My car is manual, i just had the cluster out and saw there was no bulb in that slot so stuck a light behind it and it said that. Just curious what it meant.

  11. Sounds more like fuel cut to me, what boost are you running.
  12. I cant understand why the revs would drop, if the revs didnt drop it could be actuator getting stuck open. Im guessing its going to be a timing / ignition related issues if it makes the revs drop. Does it bang or pop? Is it not just fuel cut?

  19. Pretty much bang on, 204.4 bhp atf got me 170.2 bhp atw.
  20. I think your going a bit crazy accusing the garage going on about vosa already, im not saying the garage didnt do anything but chill out first. What did it fail on MOT wise? what work did the garage carry out? Is it the first time its been driven in a while? Has the battery been disconnected, re-setting the ecu? Are a ignition leads connected well? what boost was it running? whats it boosting now? It could be a million and one things yet, dont always asume the worst.
  21. £400 ish iirc, bearings were fucked too, he had just about every part replaced though.

My first thought are cheap shite, doesnt look like it has a standard compressor blades either, but could it be someone who is finally doing things at a resonale price for starlets? They also have TD04 manifold/decats for bugger all.
