  1. Port it as close to the wastegate flap edge as you can get it. If you go to halfords you can get a set of grinding stone which are the perfect size for the job. No specific tips, just use common sense with tools etc.
  2. Looking again at the JAM one, looks to me like it says refletf on the back, is that the four wheel drive version?
  3. I think we should organise a sweepstate on whether Mark and Cheshire will turn up in their own cars!
  4. ^^ Bloody attached files again! Cant see shit!
  5. Had more pics than i though of the JAM one, still no idea whats under the hood though
  6. My personal favourite, got a few more pics ill upload when i get home.
  7. Found a pic of these on a silver V and must say they look mint, wish wish wish i had the coin for em.
  8. I think it is, well silicone gasket sealant. Im guessing the turbo outlet wont be as hot as an exhaust? So safe yeah?
  9. As above, My intercooler pipe the bolts to my ct9 isn't perfectly straight so it boost leaks sometimes. So i thought i would use gasket sealant to get a pefect seal on the join. Checked out some stuff at halfords today and its rated upto 200 degrees. Will it be safe to use and not get too hot? Thanks David
  10. Maybe with other cars but im certain it doesnt apply to starlets. We are going way off topic here but im bored and feel the first question has been answered so i will continue. 100% bog standard glanza, check the height 100% bog standard n/a, check the height Pics arnt the best for a comparison but you can see they run what look to me identical heights, and without checking im almost certain glanza and n/a suspension will use the same part numbers. SO in turn 40mm springs would lower both, the same......
  11. ^^ Are you sure, never herd that one before? Im certain standard glanza shocks / springs ar the exact same as na shock / springs. A standard glanza looks same height as an n/a to me.
  12. ^^ Why would 40mm spring lower an n/a but not a Glanza, its the same car???? Either way id stay clear, do it cheap do it twice 'springs' to mind
  13. Are you sure its them stem seals? Have you changed turbo as you may have fubared the seals running with no oil thus causing smoke?
  14. Foooooookin gutted for you mate, really wanted to see this at the manc meet. Always did seem a bit dodgy the forgedness of this motor though. What are your plans now?
  15. Nahhhhhhh your thinking all wrong Take the pipe off that bolts to the turbo, check the flat bit that seals agains the turbo is flat.
  16. Also cheshire, what did you do to get your flange sorted? I took the gasket out and its ok sometimes but leaks others. Was going to try that gasket paste stuff this weekend see if its shuts it up for good.
  17. look at the flange side on, if its flat its ok, if its not its going to leak.
  18. Ahhhhh my appologies. Firstly check the flange where the pipe joins to the turbo! I had a boost leak for over 2 months spent fookin hours trying to find it, turns out it was the flange was not straight. If that dont work Build a boost leak tester like so
  19. Glad your on top of it Mark / Luke, hope to se it on the 6th. As above cant see how it can move unless there was only one bolt in the decat.
  20. Lol at that pic dual spoilers ftw!!! And yeah im always hunting out ep91 hidden treasures lol
