Yeah i was a right grumpy bastard when i was stopping, everyone and everything annoyed me, no matter how daft it was. And i was eating all the time as well. It helps alot to keep busy though
-
Ive stopped 2 or 3 times, just stopped as well. I found the first week or two the worst then it gets better. It'll never go away though, you'll always be tempted. Well maybe after a few years you wont but i never lasted that long. Im using one of those e-cigarettes now but should probably stop altogether soon!
-
Im the same as well, but it wont be cost effective for socks to bring over unfortunately! And it sounds like a ton of hassle as well
-
Yea a list would be better imo! May just me being simple though haha
-
Its probably because its not assembled. And tbh the list of whats been done and what needs done isnt that clear
-
Bugger i was thinking that but thought id check! Found 2 sets of enkei rpf1 and a set of work equip 01s for £250 per set.
-
Japan. Found various sets for insanely good prices compared to here.
-
Are you able to bring wheels over? Or will the import tax be insanely high?
-
Ive found a few as well but because they were in japan it put me off. None of them were gold though!
-
hmm. rather tempted! only have one key for mine!. ill have to look at my key first and see if its similar.
-
I reallly want to even just experience a td04'd starlet. My standard ct9 set up is all ive encountered. Interested in seeing a tuned ct9 set up as well!

I neeeed those centre caps! Haha -
No photos of the engine bay and interior would put me off tbh, and the scabby front bumper kinda contradicts the well looked after etc.

Has anyone ever done an engine lift on a starlet?
scottyb replied to dan106's topic in Lifestyle General
Try making up a metal guard? Wont last forever but will delay damage to the sump. Would be alot easier than fucking about with raising etc -
Im beginning to worry about mine too, last night the revs kept jumping up in each gear at 3k revs, not sure if its a slipping clutch though or something else, there looks like a little bit of oil between the engine and gearbox as well . And oil is spitting out of the breather as well, so worrying about that affecting the plugs etc. Will be getting it in the garage soon for a check though
-
Its built jointly between bmw and psa, the diesel is a peugeot engine though.
-
Yeah haha, its the the same 180bhp thp engine thats in the peugeots and citroens now
-
The facelifted mini coopers are turbo charged, got rid of the supercharger back in 2006 Sunnys are seriously awful! Had a set on my old clio and hated them. Rainsport 2s on the starlet though, may be the best tyres ive had tbh.
-
I paid £4.5k for my starlet nearly 3 years ago, was a fresh import with 45k and almost standard. Now its probably worth £2.5k at most. Still 2k isnt alot over 3 years and totally worth it for the enjoyment i still get from my car every day. Hopefully they'll appreciate but i doubt it tbh! People want newer cars now, and with finance deals etc getting more affordable its making older cars cheaper imo.
-
Theyre probably just a stock item and were made at a different time than the car. Although mine say 1998

Chances are it'll be useless here unless it can be reconfigured for uk, but it'll still not work due to the digital switchover as far as i know
