  1. thats what i was thinking, they keep going on about the manifold as well, but surely they wont need to touch that? maybe aside from the heatshields. wish we had proper garages about here to get stuff fitted!
  2. We STILL need to organise a proper meet for all the scottish boys. i think a ukso stand at crail or at a knockhill jap day should happen! i know its a bit out of the way for some folk, but itd be an awesome chance to meet everyone and show people that we have some awesome starlets here in scotland!
  3. Is fitting a decat really that hard? had it in at the garage twice to be fitted (i dont have the space or facilities to get under it etc) and the first time they didnt fit it because it needed new gaskets which was fair enough (didnt have them yet) and now its in again to get new tyres and the decat fitted, they said theres too much in the way to get it fitted atm, apparently they'd need it for over two hours, they said something about the clutch cylinder and oil pipes etc are all in the way? am i being completely stupid to think that its just a case of unbolting the heat shields, lambda etc then changing the cat? seems like they're making it a 10x bigger job than it actually is?
  4. Found this on Ebay yesterday when i was looking around at starlet stuff http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c2e7d7372 Says its EP82 or EP91, but it was used on a GT so it wont fit EP91. sitting at £250 with no reserve.
  5. Get a smaller aftermarket wheel?
  6. never in 2 years with the glanza then seemed to go through a wee spate of being stopped, was 4-5 times in around a month. although i was driving pretty late a night every time so dont really blame them, its quiet at times here so they were probably bored.
  7. gotta admit wallace, your glanza is one of the cars that originally had me looking at them, found photos of it on flickr (i think) agessss ago with geos one at the secc and then started looking at them more haha
  8. Ive had mine 3 years in june and ive made hardly any progress yet yours looks awesome!
  9. i want it. slap a fte in it, leave the exterior pretty much standard, total sleeper!
  10. Sorry i never spoke much, was off with mates who were taking photos of the place etc. wish id hung around more for a chat with the starlet boys though!
  11. i need those work emotions off that white livesports kitted 91. they are fucking lush, wanted a set for years now. Some awesome photos and EPs there mate
  12. i fancy a 4wd as well. Definately get an importing guide up! the amount of things ive seen in japan that i'd kill for and are quite affordable but just get totally put off by having to import.
  13. ive been in a standard one that even still had the speed restriction, wasnt lightening quick but was enough to be quite fun, still managed to get the back end out in it as well haha
  14. Not just emblems, whole front end transplant from an 86 on to a brz
  15. awesome idea! im gonna be hunting like fook now haha
  16. Aw thats a shitter! Would have helped them reclaim some money back from it. At least shes fine though!
  17. £575 now, ive got it on my watch list, bet it'll be over £1k when it sells
  18. is the 200bhp guide on here? i cant see it?
  19. fucking ouch. at least shes alright! ive had a close call with aquaplaning before, in my old clio just started sliding to the left slightly towards a verge, thankfully it gripped again before anything happened. (if she can sell those seats, i want! provided shes not shat on them)
  20. Heres mine , most of the pics of mine are with the old equips though, and with quite a few scottish starlet owners at an aberdeen meet - totally embarrassed my self with some horrendous parking, awful turning circle, couldnt see out the back windows and totally fucked up so was like a 30 point turn and only pic of the car on the new wheels sorry for so many pics!
  21. ive thought about this as well, really want an s15 or R32 GTR and they're 10x cheaper in japan than here, but its all the stuff with importing myself that totally puts me off, seems like alot of hassle to do.
  22. i wish i could weld, id love a project car to work on entirely all my self but its the costs involved that i cant handle
  23. My grandad is also an ex rally driver, 3 times scottish champion in an audi quattro and mk2 escort. Donald Heggie for those wondering. Got an awesome canvas print of him in his quattro on my wall
  24. I love mine too nearly 3 years on! still pretty much standard though, dying to go td04 but not sure of how safe it is without being forged etc.
  25. Its funny the people that are saying no to finance but yes to credit cards? They're both technically the same! Pay it up with interest. Personally i just try and save for what im after (hence why ive done bugger all to the starlet, it burns a hole in my pocket) My starlet was bought with a loan, thankfully my gran loaned me it but if she hadnt it would have been a bank loan for it. I hateee being in debt though. But id be pretty tempted to go forged etc if it was available on finance tbh, itd take me well over a year at least to get £2k saved with all the other stuff i end up buying etc.
