Thanks guys. Got another parcel of parts from Japan the other day. So a few more jobs to do on it like fit new rear abs sensor, fit an abs bulb in the dash as it has either failed or someone has removed it. then see if ive any faults with the system. I think ive sorted the boot leaks out but im still getting a little in the front end so need another look at those. Still bits to do but ive used it for work this week and its been great. JAE was over 500 miles round trip so im confident it would go anywhere now.

I will get some mate. Not took any for ages as it's been a mess under there but Claire gave it a clean before jae. I plan to redo the rocker wrinkle black and the same for the edelbrock inlet whee i get chance. I might get some paint stripper on the inlet mani tonight and make a start.

Jase just reminded me i hadnt updated this thread for ages. heres some updates. I got a box of goodies from Japan. Ive not updated this for a few months but progress slowed on the dc2 while i was on holidays, working on my brothers ep2, clutch, ball joints ect. then the same on my girlfriends EP3 plus poly bushes. I needed to get my finger out as JAE was rapidly approaching and my mate had got us tickets for the type r owners stand and tehy were all in FN2's. only makes sense to change them if they are worn, its easily done.

Ive done a few nothing major though engine wise. Tong turbo hybrid ct9 rebuilt by midland turbo, ported stock manifold, front mount intercooler, blitz decat, boost controller, relocated air filter, uprated actuator, 5zigen exhaust system thats about it really. Yeah get a build thread started.

Welcome to the forum! Keep us updated on how you get on with the GT. Ive got an auto ep82 myself. had it over 2 years and i use it everyday. I always planned to convert to manual but ive just not got round to it and the auto box is pretty good. A friend of mine has an evo 5 or 6 cant remember now and that had been modified with the hand controls in.

i used to have one but was dissapointed with it performance wise and went with the front mount in the end. they are cool though for bolt on fitment.

I also noticed the backbox wasnt looking so good last week so i quickly patched it up and took the dent out of it. i used some new 3" 316 exhaust pipecut in half then flattened and shaped to the curve of the box.It was thicker than the old stuff so should help protect ita bit should it get bumped in the future. Nothing pretty but it will keep it right for the MOT in a couple of weeks.

i had one years ago and i liked it so fancied another one. i would consider a cheap 5 speed though even a paseo box

Nothing exciting going on here but done a few bits n bobs to the gt. Ported the blitz decat as there was a big lump behind where the wastegate arm opens so it couldnt fully open. Box of goodies. lower arm bushes for when i fit the anti lift kit I fitted the new rear discs, pads, wheel bearings, cleaned and greased all the sliders up. I had to swap one of the calipers as i couldnt get the piston to wind back and the spare one was in much better condition so easier to swap it. Gunna give them a bleed tomorrow. heres a few pics over honister pass.
