  1. Ahhh yeah thats long gone that one. although many parts such as the engine live on in the red one. I thought i copied the build thread onto here, i must have not got round to it. Theres still a few bits i will get round to doing, main one is a rear wheel bearing when i get chance. Ive got a bit more work to get the dc2 on the road but not too much. i want to get it booked into somewhere to get new arches and ends of the sills remade. not sure where to take it though. Did you get any pics of the kp?
  2. cheers mate. Can you remember if i had the gt4 build thread on here? As i cant seem to find it. I put it back in the garage last night
  3. You just have to stick with them Maddox. Anything can be fixed it just takes time. Plenty ones worse than this out there. Both sills are cleaned up, wiped down with thinners, treated with hydrate 80 and covered with underseal now. Ive gave them two coats so it should keep them protected for now.
  4. Nice one Ian, just read through this thread. keep us updated mate. The daily was mint so i cant wait to see what the other one will end up like!
  5. i picked up a non ac alloy torque mount. compared the ac cast iron ones its so much lighter! I made a start cleaning up the sills. The ends of them are pretty rusty but no big holes yet. The rest of the sill wasnt too bad. i cleaned it up with a rust and paint remover wheel in the grinder something which wasnt as aggresssive as the wire wheels or flap discs. i then wiped it down with thinners and gave it a coat of hydrate 80. There were loads of other bits i had to do too which ive not mentioned like seized bolts. I ordered a heap of parts from amayama as Honda uk prices are shock
  6. Well i cant believe i havent updated this since August! I lost interest in it a little and progress slowed down then holidays and festivals got in the way ect. Heres a few more pics showing some progress back end in the garage The rear calipers were rebuilt with new parts, i had to get an exchange caliper for one of them as the needle roller bearing was trashed for the handbrake mechanism so i gave up with that ones as the bearings are not available. brakes bled up with 5.1 with the help of the the gf. fronts were rebuilt with new pistons ect, stainless lines front and back fitted als

If you plan to run a mls gasket like the athena one make sure both surfaces are absolutely spotless and true.

  20. hahahaha nice one! Ive saved the pic. I changed the wheels as they were poo and poor condition and the stock exhaust had been bodged and fell off on my drive. Dont know what that yellow sticker was though. And that fog light fell off too in a flood.
  21. Cheers Phil, well spotted on the wing lights. Its got a few little optional extras in it. The pic makes it look good tbh. Its got a few scuffs on the bumpers and scratches in places. It's a nice colour though and a good genuine car which hasn't been ruined. I use it daily. Ahh cool good to know. I've owned it about 18 months now. I don't think it's had a hard life being an auto especially. It runs bang on no smoke ect. I'm pretty sure it's the original engine too.
  22. I bought it from just outside Sheffield about 15 mins out I think. The guy hadn't had it long but he bought it from a family friend and she had owned it for some time then sold it and bought it back I believe. It was just used for running around locally I believe. Do you know the car? There isn't many grey ones about.
