who will cut it ??? MERGE COLLECTOR PIPES
Bean replied to 5e colin's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I always fancied a go at making a mani starting with a collector and i got a big mikata chop saw but never got round to it. -
lots of good work going on

This was my old 5e runing a rebuilt vf35 on a dta s80. the mapping was never finished and there was still more left in it. on the dyno day my boost controller settings were playing up i cant remember why. I have another for 324bhp on another dyno but i it did read a bit high that one. It was on boost all time, no lag just flat out in 5th all the time with the short ep85 gears.

i will try and get my emu plugged into my auto gt tomorrow and try it as i havent got round to it yet.
-
I think so yeah. The wiring diagrams for the different looms are in the manual. I have a full emu kit with P and P loom for mine.
-
Go for an emanage ultimate, im pretty sure the auto ep82 uses the 3 plug ecu like the ep91 when you come to wire it in or get a plug and play adapter for it.
-
im after a wepr power up ct9 mani for external waste gate. Anyone see or have one for sale please give me a shout. Any condition considered.
-
Assuming it's driveable just count the gear changes.
-
it doesnt matter if it cost 10-15k to build a starlet when you came to sell it you would be lucky to get 7k for it and it could take months and months to sell.
-
No one will pay 7k for a starlet turbo though will they. Tbh I don't think I would either no matter what the spec was.

Any graphs for a td04 on a 5e? I can dig my 5e vf35 graph out.
-
A vf35 is great on a 5e. Instant boost.

anyone ever fitted a mr2 /mrs roadster 6 speed lsd box?
Bean replied to Bean's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Thanks for the replies guys. I wouldn't be running big power only ct9 hybrid on my 4e or the 5e i have. So shredding gears shouldn't be any issue for me. It sounds like it's a no go though for the size of them and the shafts not fitting. Cheers -

Bean replied to Bean's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I was hoping done fwd linkages could be fitted to it. -
im just looking at these 6 speed boxes as they came with lsd in them from the factory. The spec of them is below. C65/C65M Gear ratios for this transmission. 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th Reverse Final 3.166 1.904 1.392 1.031 0.815 0.725 3.250 4.312 Differential Options: C65-01A: Open Differential C65-01B: Helical Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Applications: 2003–2007 Toyota MR2 Spyder (JP) (manual mid-engine application) 2003–2007 Toyota MR2 Spyder (US/UK/JP) (SMT mid-engine application) C66/C6

yeah it maybe was running a bit high on the dyno day, there was a boost leak on the car before when it ran slightly less boost but we fixed it just before the power run and that what it ran.
-
I'm after a front pair of these. I will consider a full set if the price is right and decent condition.

My mate has a vf28 on a forged 4e stock head. Its shown 338bhp on the dyno at about 1.5 bar.

whos using a Starlet turbo for everyday use and BHP?
Bean replied to Nicholai's topic in Lifestyle General
lots of starlet bottom ends seem to go but alot is what Colin says, poor builds, parts thrown at cars and not tuned or setup properly. When the cars are as cheap as they are they dont get looked after like they used to. -

Bean replied to Nicholai's topic in Lifestyle General
i use mine daily and have done since the start of the year to do almost 40 miles every day its a stock engine with hybrid ct9 and usual bits n bobs. I have had a few oil leaks but i think there more from lack of maintenance from a previous owner. Ive had the car. The car must only be around 165 ish bhp i think untill i get the emu on it to map it. -
Nope it's not me mines tucked up in the garage.
