  1. mini valver on here has one on his. its the slightly bigger one krissy b had made and its making 252bhp on a vf28 at 1.09 bar on a stock engine. the car goes really well and it pulls harder and harder towards the red line. a few things had to be messed about with to get it fitted though. if there going on an ep82 theres a few fitting problems: the coolant line nearest the passenger side coming out of the bulk head the wire for the inlet temp sensor needed extending and it was having problems starting when cold but this might not have been the inlets fault. the throttle is very stiff! if yo
  2. great work!! thanks for putting all the pictures up. Do you have a full spec list for the car? im interested in the inlet you made, is that a celica throttle body your using? any dyno figures?
  3. which timing light did you buy?
  4. jdm dyno is ran by Johnathan here is his website its located in the middle of no where really, which is handy for testing purposes the nearest town is wigton.
  5. i dont think a gt35 would be needed thats a 600+bhp turbo. just stick with the vf28 mate its rapid as it is! just wait until theres some nice dry weather and then see what you think.
  6. what i mean is you can alter the gearbox internals to gt spec gears but this alters the final drive so the rear diff would be turning at a different speed so something would have to take this up which would lead to something breaking (probably the viscous coupling) so you would need to try and find other rear diffs that would fit and match the final drive, or get it modified - this is how i understand it anyway. ted and weejohn will know better. when my car eventually goes for mapping i was going to get the rear diff checked out and see about getting it geared up as i also want to do it to
  7. the gt gearbox internals fit in the 4wd box as gaz did it with his but you need to match the final drive up with the rear diff and as far as im aware there isnt any other rear diffs that fit the starlet rear axle. theres plenty of reason for wanting to gear these cars up not just for high speed runs, when your cruising on the motorway at 70+ you wont be reving the car so hard so it will be easier on the car and obviously use less fuel.
  8. you cant change the ratios in the box unless you match the final drive up with the rear diff, as far as im aware there isnt any other rear diffs available or ones that fit. the gt internals do fit in as gaz did it with his but then took them out. i think john or ted in ireland changed the ep85 1st gear for the gt 1st gear though.
  9. i hope you got some gaskets for that external wastegate. did the toyo sports crack?
  10. im off work so hopefully i will make this, i was gutted i missed the last one. not sure if i will be in a starlet or if i will still have the teg but it will be some jap machinery!! uk Starlet club: 1)Markoos 2)Cheshireglanza 3)Ro55ifumi 4)Starlet786 5)Lew777 6)redz11 7)miib14 lukep 9)Kennedy 10)Dean @RW-Developments 11)lukerobz 12}daz gt turbz 13) Tyron Devine 14) Bluebear 15) Craig_N 16) Birdmandan 17) BearfaceofDoom 1 Craigant 19) TMJ 20) Llawgoch 21) Steve GT 22) Bean/pc18 JDM NW 1)markoos 2)cheshireglanza 3)Zac (Cazzac2222) 4)Craig_N 5)miib14 6) drew 007..... defo this time 7)ChrisSta
  11. yeah or a paper clip or something.
  12. all single scroll subaru turbos have the 3 bolt type flange. its just the twin scroll ones which are different - as far as i know.
  13. i think i paid around that for mine, they seem to be coming up quite regular now. haha yeah thats what im hoping for, it should go quite well. ive got a few more things planned for it which should help push it along too
  14. when i get my arse in gear and finish it off, its almost there now really ive just been taking my time with everything and doing little bits at a time. then the starlet got kicked out the garage so its outside now and all the snow and everything held me back, im looking for a garage to store it in somewhere. i cant remember if i bought the 35 off ebay or scoobynet, it seemed in good condition but i sent it off to turbo dynamics for a rebuild so its like new.
  15. make get some rubber boots inbetween the fuel reg and where its bolted too carl maybe that will help some of the sound.
  16. yep the vf28 is a bit of a beast on your setup! i have a vf35 on my 5e but im yet to fire it up but it should be a good setup and make some decent power, thats what im hoping for anyway.
  17. i ran mine at .5 before i got my td04 mapped and it was nothing special. my mates stock r5 turbo kept up with it.
  18. dont forget your arp's!
  19. theres no rush daz, it wont be going on the road when theres still salt down anyway. got plenty in the pipe line, new ecu, new inlet
  20. not updated this for a while now but heres a little update. ive been busy sorting an air inlet pipe up today. had to cut the wepr one i had up and cut bits out then get it welded. excuse the fooked bumper
  21. is prob the flanges not been flat mate, get a straight edge on them, they prob need skimmed.
  22. has everyone missed the first thing to do??? check the ecu for fault codes!!! its a piece of piss mate then that might send you in the right direction. theres a thread and its got all the codes. if you were closer mate you could bring it round. dont break it you bummer!
  23. nice one mate, those dodgey fitted eg fogs need binned though. if there fitted properly they look really good but those look squashed in. i had a minter of a crx vt a few years ago. it only had 27k miles on it when i bought it. the teg handles better though.
