  1. you cant use a fwd box as the transfer box wont fit i agree about it costing loads more than you expect. mine owes me a fair bit now. these cars cost more to run than an ep82/91 also with the 4wd system but also your sat higher up the rev range when cruising. so take that into consideration. the front suspension setup is the same so any front turbo setup is fine. the back end is different. meisters are a good choice or you can modify other coilovers with shorter springs and stuff like that. or raise the strut tops like gaz did on the blue beast. theres loads of info on these 4wds starlets on the forum now.
  2. The pillow balls arent i believe haha
  3. that 4wd steering wheel is the shit!! i hope you kept it G Man!!!
  4. i really cant see it worth it staying n/a rip the engine out scrap the shell put it in a GT jobs a gooden
  5. Thanks just the bare engine forged. no turbo or anything like that. ive got mine one sitting in my garage waiting
  6. that sounds alot cheaper than i thought. im sure i got a quote from them a year or more ago and i was shocked at the price. I've got some spray on stuff that you bake in the oven then let it cure then bake again at a higher temp. im going to give that ago and see how it lasts.
  7. its not cheap mate. zircotec are the best but it costs loads
  8. i would wash it out first if it was me then blast it with a compressor or something.
  9. if you have had it powder coated please give it a great f-in good wash out! take it in the shower or something and blast the shit out of it. you want to be certain theres no dirt or powder or stuff hiding under the baffle plate! if you dont it could ruin your engine!
  10. nice write-up! all you need to do now is put it all in a starlet! haha jj there nice these 6 speed boxes
  11. i broke a paseo a few months ago and a guy from works daughter has a paseo that the petrol tank leaks. i sold him the tank then he told me the tank didnt fit the paseo. does yours leak too?
  12. there's a company in japan called zoom which make lowering springs for the ep85/95 starlet but there not cheap when you have added the postage on with the exchange rate also. ive got the meisters on mine and i would recommend them.
  13. pics are still far too BIG. really you want to be getting some proper management instead of the fcd fpr and bigger injectors.
  14. ive seen pics of one of these but running a td04l setup!
  15. i think the optional arm rests are horrible in starlets they just look cheap and are pointless, they don't even fit very well. nice to see another ep*5 on these shores, good luck with it!
  16. i just noticed about the rear bumper not matching, they never do on mkiv supra's im sure its to do with the rear bumper been made of a different type of plastic.
  17. im sure you will have him trained up in no time Gaz
  18. sounds good, what about a front one? i didn't really think mine had a skittish back end. maybe i didnt drive it hard enough though.
  19. What about the PP shout out!!! haha. I had a quality weekend thanks to the PP guys!
  20. yeah its gone mate, i kept a few parts off it though. what you after?
  21. its actually for his sisters car, he came and found me at work today and gave me a big long sob storey about it, saying how his daughter had been billed for the garages time and having to re-fit the old one. i said he can have his money back but i didnt have any on me.
  22. haha you mean haylz did lol. yeah i seen the pics on here and cwc good work. mine needs the dust wiped off it. i pushed it out the garage a few weeks ago to wash it and let it dry and when i came back it was covered in bird shit the little fuckers. its just the menu system is annoying on them boost controllers. im sure it will be easy once you have the hang of it. you've basically got the duty cycle which sets the boost and the gain which sets how fast the solenoid reacts. then theres the settings like warning and stuff. your going to be running an external wastegate arent you? what spring will it come with it? when you get the td04 on i would just run it around .5 bar and get it mapped as soon as you can.
  23. like enzo said i have these on my ep85. tbh i havent really drove the car much since i fitted them due to engine problems. there great pieces of kit though. ive got a thread on here somewhere when i fitted them and you can see how the car sits, i cant go much lower on the back end with mine due to my 2.5 inch exhaust. if your wanting to go really low on a 4wd you will struggle to get a decent exhaust exiting out the back, if your going side/front exit this wouldnt be a problem though.
  24. hiya mate, if i remember correctly the setting which dictates how much boost the car will run is what you set the duty cycle at. this will be a number from 1-100 start off low and increase it until you are boosting to the desired boost level.
