everyone says they have no torque but i regularly drive through town (30 zones) in 5th in mine without issues. what more could you want. new headunit looks great mate. they really need a double din in these, single din units just rattle about and the oem pockets just come loose and stuff. the surround often comes off my cd player when im kicking its head in.

a 1.3 na really hasnt got much to unlock and i think it would be a waste of money trying to get another 5-10bhp out of it.

Thanks guys its always good to get some encouragement. It should make some where around 300+ It went quite well on the td04l setup no wheel spin or anything. Today i did a few bits like re rapping alot of the wiring loom to tidy it all up and protect it a bit better. Then i got the gear box and transfer box fitting onto the engine, this took me absolutely ages and was a right pain in the arse. heres a few pics. And my corner of mess!! -
good luck with that clip there beasts. i bought a great big pair of long nose pliers with decent thick handles. then i bent the tips of them in slightly they work a treat for those huge circlips.

Arb fitted with all new bushes. i didnt get it fitted on the car as ive been painting the rear axle. Also got a coilover un-seized today and raised it a little on the front as it was a bit too low. -

Updates So i sat around for ages not knowing what i was going to do, another forged 4e? a stock 4e? or then i thought about a forged 5e. so i started looking for 5e engine and everyone was wanting stupid money for them. My parents wouldnt let me have 3 cars but the went away for 2 week so in the end i bought this I drove it about for a week or so going to work and stuff then when i had a day off i set about removing the precious 5e a wilko bucket makes a great axle stand and after a few hours.. its out. So the 5e got sent off and my old 4e also. then i started doing a bit of cleaning up on the 85 i borrowed a compressor off my uncle and started Stone chipping the arches then i stripped the front end down and cleaned it all up and painted that too. The day before the forged 4e let go its mot was due and funny enough it failed, one of the fails was the bushes on the rear arb so i got that all removed and got it powder coated and a few other bits too. and a full new set of bushes from Toyota too. then after a bit of a wait and courier problems my 5e came back So hopefully i will have the 5e in very soon i also got a vf35 rebuilt by turbo dynamics at some point. they were really helpful and it only took them a couple of days -
anyone can guess at pricing these up but i know how much ive spent on mine and its alot more than what you guys are saying you can convert them for.
