  1. Being an N series engine it might not fit up to the Glanza autobox and probably have different mounting points too.
  2. Welcome to UKSC. My N/A Starlet will be for sale shortly if you're interested.
  3. What I put there sounded a bit harsh. Thanks for the offer mate but I don't have much time to wait, need to get it sorted and back in for the MOT as soon as possible so I can sell it in order to get the CRX on the road. ;)
  4. Was it genuine or just a Celica with a load of stickers and foglights stuck on it?
  5. I don't have a week, need it ASAP.
  6. Probably going to cost an arm and a leg so haven't tried them.
  7. I really can't be bothered to do anything at the moment tbh!
  8. A good T-Cut and polish will soon sort that out!
  9. I may be wrong but as far as I know the RSR ones are "better" in the sense that you can adjust them from both ends of the rod, which means you can adjust it while it's on the car. The Whiteline one will be fine though, infact any adjustable panhard rod will be fine, if you look on TGTT I think there's a guide on there where someone made their own, they all do the same job at the end of the day.
  10. Nah it's not THAT bad, but it depends how low you want to go. On my Starlet which I had lowered about 40mm I had no problems at all. Alot of people are completely unaware of the panhard rod, but if you want your suspension geometry to be spot on then you ideally need one.
  11. The little video on here will give you a good idea on what an adjustable panhard rod is for: http://www.rs-r.co.jp/products/lateral/ Basically when you lower the car the standard panhard rod which is non adjustable will push the axel off-centre, with an adjustable panhard rod you can alter the length of it so the rear wheels are in line with the front ones and not off set to the side. It's not a vital modification if you are only slightly lowering your car but it's advisable to have one. The rest of it you have got right, rear anti roll bar, anti lift kit, and either some uprated shock absorbers with lowering springs or if you can afford them or require more adjustability then go for coilovers. Don't forget good tyres aswell.
  12. Your cousin's car would be nice if it didn't have those shitty chrome wing mirrors. The wheels are just about acceptable lol. Nice Glanza.
  13. If you can be bothered to source the parts yourself and have enough time on your hands then I'd look around for 2nd hand bargains. TD12 with a plug & play ECU @ 1 bar should be fine but check it with a wideband just to make sure it's not running lean. An engine swap isn't that hard, changing the wiring loom would put me off big time though because I hate wiring. If you have the right tools and a good bit of mechanical knowledge you can probably do 99% of the work yourself. On the other hand, if you have the money I'd just fuck it off to PP and get it done easy and quick, plus the fact that if anything goes wrong you can always go back to them.
  14. I had uprated shocks & springs on my Starlet, paid £300 and it made a massive improvement. KYB New SR Specials with (as I was told) TRD springs: These are now for sale if you're interested, £220+delivery, I've only had a few months use out of them since buying them last year. They aren't the best looking as you can see theres' a fair bit of surface rust and they're obviously not clean as they've been used but they work fine. They lower by about 40mm and give the car a nice stance.
  15. I'd imagine it being the same assuming it's just the housing that's slightly different. Infact the housing on that one is probably "better" for fitting a FMIC.
  16. It's off a people carrier with a diesel engine. Doesn't have the same compressor outlet as the CT9's found on the Starlets so it wont fit up to the standard intercooler pipe.
  17. Well that's shit, does anyone know where I can get handbrake cables for drum brakes? ASAP
  18. Have you tried slackening it off via the handbrake adjuster? Have you got the handbrake down?
  19. My Starlet needs a new handbrake cable to pass the MOT so I'm going to just replace both of them, camskill has them but it says turbo, I'm guessing they should still fit though?
  20. I would have posted the Ascari but I don't like it as much as I want to, because it uses a German engine.
  21. Ferrari F40 Fuck all that modern rubbish.
  22. Toyo Proxes T1R 195/50/15, £30 each from camskill with very quick delivery, can't go wrong.
  23. I don't know why but these things don't interest me at all.
  24. Degreaser works wonders, don't bother buying expensive products, my engine bay was cleaned with a couple of bottles of cheapo 99p degreaser, just spray it on (standard EP91 N/A engine so didn't really need to cover anything up), then just keep spraying more on and the dirt will just fall away. Then get the hose pipe on a very fine mist and rinse it off, it comes up really clean and that's without any effort! Just spraying the degreaser on then rinsing it off, and it barely cost anything! Once that's done start the engine and let all the water evaporate off.
