They're just some normal £50 speakers that you can buy on most online audio shops, I think the fronts are Fli's and the rears JBL or something like that. Nothing special. Not really worth bothering with then?

While I've got most of the interior out of the CRX I'm thinking of replacing the shitty speaker wire that's in there now with some slightly better/thicker wire, some people say that better quality wire will give better sound but I'm not so sure? I've got some half decent wire lying around doing nothing so I'm thinking of doing it, but not sure wether it's worth bothering.

Bored shitless of N/A Starlets now, don't get me wrong I love it as a daily driver and the performance considering it only being a 1.3 is great, but I had the most fun in my first Starlet, the second time around it's just bored me. Had plenty of good times in Starlets but having no real sense of acceleration or anything it's just a dull experience to me now. It's a wierd thing to say though, on one hand I'm bored and fed up of them but then you start comparing them to other small hatchbacks with similar size engines and in my opinion not much comes close. I'm sure it's different with a turbo

Very tempting lol but I've already organised to pick up an engine, rad, windscreen and brake discs tomorrow morning. ;) If I had more time and money I'd have probably bought that.
-
A 5EFE would be nice but I don't have time to wait around really, I've got about 6 days to change the engine, radiator, windscreen, and get it through the MOT.
-
It looks easy enough, but I'm sure there will be problems as there's usually something to go wrong. By the looks of it there's only 2-3 mounts altogether? I'm not sure what to do as far as the gearbox is concerned though, do I leave it in the car and just swap the engines, or do I take the whole lot out, put the box onto the new engine and put it all back in? Is there anything else I'm going to need? I'm probably going to do the clutch while it's out, not sure what else to bother with really, the engine that might be going in has only got 67k on it.

By the sounds of it your "tuner" doesn't have a clue. Get some proper management on there. That power figure is about right for 1 bar but at 0.85 sounds a little high.
-
Saw these on CRX UK so it's your mate with that nice blue CRX then? They actually look quite good on the EP82 too.

No one?

I was paying £1500ish for my first year and then the same on the second year on my old N/A and since the insurance prices all went up I'm now paying £1900, which is a fucking rip off. Most people pay alot less though.

I'm trying to get a quote on some courier sites to get an engine and radiator delivered but they all ask for weight and dimensions, does anyone have any idea what they are, or how much it's cost them to post an engine before? People selling engines on ebay tend to have the postage at £30 so I'm guessing it's roughly around there.

You running an open filter or standard airbox? With the airbox I noticed a slight change of pitch at higher revs but still quiet. When I changed the airfilter I loved the sound of it, especially between 4k and redline. The standard manifold doesn't sound as good IMO.
-
I can't remember exactly what I did with mine but I know I re-used the old rubber thing and just adjusted the cable holder on the two nuts and it worked fine. If the metal U shape thing on the manifold doesn't grip the rubber thingy then smack it with a hammer, then you can put the cable into it and it will hold. That probably doesn't make any sense whatsoever but you don't NEED to make up a new bracket or anything you can use what's already there.

It depends how confident you are with your car and how much of a risk taker you are. It's much better if you know the limits of your car. In my old EP91 I'd have been confident to rip that around anywhere flat out, it was so nice and predictable to drive. My new EP91 however I don't like it at all it feels like shit and doesn't give you much confidence at all. And as for my CRX I have barely driven it and would be a bit apprehensive about chucking it into a corner not knowing what it's going to do. I'm guessing you are a bit worried about spending money and risking your car, I would be too

Straight swap, it's physically identical to a normal CT9 apart from the wastegate.
-
Pretty much a reconditioned CT9 but without the problem of boost creep as it's got an enlarged wastegate.

4afe 1.6 60mm Throttle Body On My 4efe
ste91 replied to Amjad's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Yeah bigger isn't always better, I've seen it discussed on the Honda forums, people using bigger throttle bodies (skunk2) on near standard engines and gaining nothing. The only time you'd really need to go bigger is if the standard TB was becoming restrictive but you'd need to have a fair bit of headwork done for that along with cams/intake/exhaust system etc... -

I highly doubt there will be any power gains with this TB. -
Very nice, bet it goes quite well then. But is that a 3 inch full system? Or just the backbox? Because if it's a 3 inch system then it's a bit silly on an engine of that size, you'd benefit from going down to something like 2 inch diameter.

2k should get you a B series engine and plenty of change to spend on the chassis. MeisterR do a big brake kit for around £250, plenty of different coilovers available, etc...
-
So did nobody get any nudes of Chanelle posing on her bonnet? :/
-
Not sure on the black "stripe" but it actually looks a really nice car, love the wheels! Got any pics of it from other angles? What engine's in it I'm guessing a 2E?
-
Oh my god that is nice I want!
-
I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you get a proper quote, it might be a mistake or you might sell the GT, buy a Glanza, etc... and then they go and change their minds. Yes the coilovers are interchangeable.

EG hatch with a B18 swap, should have some change left over for suspension/brakes.
