Love BBS wheels, hate German cars.

Don't make it like facebook chat, because it wont ever fucking work.

A Starlet SR is an EP91.
-
It's an air temp sensor. You have replaced the standard piping with new pipe I'm guessing? Just drill a hole in it and whack it in there.
-
300bhp and it's still a Ford.
-
That manifold is mental, love how the turbo sits directly on the intercooler. What power/boost/internals?
-
Fucking loved that car, getting another one soon to use as a run around.
-
Second this, the garage my car is in is barely big enough for the car itself, let alone room to work on it.
-
Cheers And yeah I think people are put off them, mechanically they're very good like Starlets, but unlike Starlets they do rust which is quite annoying.

Got a few little jobs done today, got rid of some excess wire which the previous owners kindly left me. I would love to meet the people who did the wiring in this car. ;) And whoever fitted the Clifford alarm is the cable tie bodge job master. Other than that I've got most of the water out, still need to find and fix the leaks though. And then sort out the sunroof and finish off the wiring. After that the interior can be cleaned and put back in with some new seats and steering wheel.

The best engine in the world is a fanny. It takes any size piston, is self lubricating, starts with one finger and every 4 weeks does it's own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental!

right who's up for a doggin sesh

So which one is you on your profile pic then? Think we need some more pics of you and your mates.
-
Yeah that's it mate, I know it will wear but it should be fine for now, the wheel that's in there in the moment is just crap, it flexes in all directions lol.
-
CT12 is completely pointless.
-
CT9 hybrid (like the ones sold on here) would be the easiest. A Blitz K1 is probably the best option but good luck finding one of them plus they're quite expensive.
-
N/A Starlets are quick enough to muller most chavboxes anyway. With a Corolla inlet manifold and a few chassis mods they're great cars. Just as an example they can easily keep pace with a Saxo VTR up to about 80.

Wait and get a GT mate - I was bored of my old non turbo Starlet after less than 6 months. Don't get me wrong they're great cars and I absolutely love them, they're just gutless in the power department. For a 1.3 they do go well, 40-60 in second gear was great for quick overtaking, and they'd do just find on a nice twisty backroad. But for straight line speed they just don't cut it compared to a turbo or bigger engined car.

Yes I'd recommend a GT, if you can afford to buy a Glanza then you'll be able to afford a good GT, and then you've got cheaper insurance. It's basically the same car anyway apart from a few differences. The main one of course being the body styling, but personally I think GT's look great. I'd prefer a Glanza but GT's aren't ugly at all.
-
Not being a cunt but unless you've got a LOT of money it's going to be hard to insure at Glanza at our age. Insurance on a GT is just about affordable at 18, but I ended up buying a CRX which is slightly more expensive however I've got it garaged and waiting until I'm 19 before I insure it. Roughly how much can you afford on insurance? edit - it would have been around 2k for me to insure a GT whereas some companies wanted like 6k for a Glanza.

Cheers for the comments @ Rhys - I'll PM you about those seats. @ Bean - Insurance has changed a fair bit since 4 years ago - the cheapest quote I got was £3000! Just ordered an OMP dished steering wheel.
