  1. I believe it runs slightly richer with the access ecu, I don't have the graphs to hand atm but will put them up at some point. Definately a worthwhile mod with a Blitz ecu as theres no mapping costs involved and it ups the boost for you, although you will need a boost controler if you remove the tvsv. Stock engine limit, no where near it mate!! Theres a guy who on the OC whos running very near 400bhp on stock internals and has been for over a year, most people say that over 350 its very wise to go forged. I don't think I want to do any more power mods as its quick enough atm, reliable and a
  2. Time for a new update I think!! Been on a rolling road and achieved 311.1bhp and 275 ft/lb. 243hp at the wheels. Also was on track yesterday for the annual GT4OC Fun Weekend at RAF Barkston Heath, first time Ive really had the car out on track. Managed a personal best 1/4 mile time of 13.11 @97mph so pleased with that Heres a few pics of the Faff in action: One of the drag runs: Also got a couple of onboard videos too which il upload when I get chance
  3. If you go for a 140 make sure its a facelift model as the earlier ones have oil usage problems and you may well need a new engine. 190 is alot quicker then a 140, though I hate the new shape Celica. If your going to get one, get a proper one
  4. Was you there aswell then!?!?!?!
  5. IIRC this Starlet was behind me in the RWYB que at Santa Pod a couple of weeks ago
  6. Is that one of them daft spoilers with the bit missing out of the middle ;) Saxo boi song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY6TGtV_6o4
  7. Boost was at 1.1bar Mods are: Catback exhaust (cat still in) Straight intake Blitz access ecu Relief valve Heat lagged chargecooler and airfilter heat shield Was thinking about going fmic but happy with how it is atm. If I do though il give you a shout mate and you can buy the charge cooler off me :harhar:
  8. Was supposed to have it dynod a couple of weeks ago at Monster Motosport in Loughborough on a Celica-club dyno day but I had a knackered engine mount and didn't want to risk it so went yesterday for my run. And the results were: 311bhp and 275lb/ft 243hp @ the wheels Really pleased with that as I was hoping for 290 maybe 300, so impressed Will upload the graphs when I get chance
  9. All jap imports are classed as group 20 because they are imports. There not classed in the grouping system like UK cars. But tbh the group thing is a waste of time anyway as a group 6 car can be more expensive then say a group 10 so be pointless really
  10. List of cars that I have owned: 1998 Nissan Micra Si, don't have any pics of it though!! 1993 EP82 GT Turbo, probably should have measured the fmic before buying/fitting it!! 1990 MR2 GT Turbo And currently 1995 Celica GT-Four ST205
  11. If you pull the oil dipstick out a few inches and see smoke coming out of the tube whilst the cars idling thats usually ringland failure. Not saying that oil peeing out of a breather isn't another sign though. I would put the catch tank back on tbh mate
  12. Il be there with the celica club
  13. Have you tried changing the gearbox oil?? First port of call before buying a new box
  14. The front still looks like an Astra with a baking tray strapped to the bonnet
  15. Spotted a white T plate Glanza today around 1:30pm heading Southbound on the A1 near Grantham, Lincolnshire. Looked stock to me, I overtook you in the silver GT4 and turned off into Grantham.
  16. Was going to go and have a nose at this and then forgot all about it Only 5 mins down the road aswell
  17. Thats because the 205 is far superior, not that im biased or anything
  18. The ST185 is heavier and has less power then the 205, around 200bhp so from a rolling start it would be fairly even against one of them. An ST205 will destroy a Starlet in every aspect. If the driver is any good you wouldn't get nowhere near one from a standing start, you would have to be packing some power to stay with one down the 1/4 mile.
  19. I make signs and stick graphics on cars and vans etc
  20. Well qued up for around 45 minutes yesterday to go on "Thirteen", luckily the rain had just about stopped aswell!! My review of the ride..... .....its alright!! Its got a nice suprize to it towards the end but other than that its nothing special tbh. Certainly wouldn't que for that length of time again to go on it. Anyone else been on it??
  21. ;) ;) Do people really have money to burn, I would never pay more than £1000 a year on insurance. It ain't worth handing over that sort of money surely. Just my opinion and your perfectly entitled to spend your cash how you see fit but christ your mad
  22. I had an MR2 turbo before the GT4, prefer the GT4 by miles ;) Yes the GT4 would be cheaper than a Glanza to get too 400bhp and be more reliable but a 400bhp Glanza is alot rarer and no doubt quicker in a straight line from a rolling start. Go with what you think is best mate, theres been times when Ive looked at different cars but couldn't part with my Faff as Ive spent a fortune on it getting it to where it is now and I enjoy driving it. Oh and yeah with regarding to fuel comsumption, I get 20 mpg if I drive like Miss Daisy, get it down to 10 mpg on a hard thrash and my car is "only" a
  23. DO IT!!! Would I sooner have my old EP82 over my ST205.........ermmm.........NO!! Don't get me wrong, I loved my old Starlet and they are very good cars but the GT4 is something else, it out classes one in ever department, well, apart from the running costs Get a good GT4 and you won't go far wrong Any excuse to bring the "Four" out
  24. Agreed, fairly quick and cheaper than the other options even though its practically the same car, no brainer really
  25. its not a Glanza, its a rep. Some young lad owns it, lives not far from me IIRC its not a Glanza, its a rep. Some young lad owns it, lives not far from me IIRC
