  1. Right small update: Mx5 is all sorted . Luckily for me Ricky found the turbo hadn't gone and was perfectly within tolerance, which is awesome as that was going to be expensive! Did find that it was blowing from mani to turbo and turbo to downpipe though . So a quick skim and refit later its all sound . Had a new 2.5" exhaust section made up to replace my beat up backbox so is now a true 2.5" all the way. And mapping is done and sorted, had some good dyno time and all went very smoothly... Had an end result over the phone from Ricky of 301HP and 230ATW!, Maxed out my Garrette 2560R lol. Ca
  2. Dont look to hard lol, looks very sorry for its self at the moment.
  3. Well my cars now sitting at Race-Tech awaiting a turbo rebuild and some other neat tweaks. (Driving to Sheffield was a mission! but worth it) Ricky really seemed to know his stuff so am confidant its going to return an absolute beast, getting the mapping sorted will be one of my main joys! current map is really poor! I'v specified maximum burble and pops . I could map it myself but i really couldn't be arsed and Ricky knows a shit load more then me lol
  4. ArchEnemy will do an awesome job! Tbh i dont think you will have to 'force' any extra camber. When lowering the 5 it will create its own natural camber dependant on height, When i lowered mine and took it to get alignment done they didn't change the camber specs as at that stage i was scrub free but obviously everything else was out. Get the arches done then drop it to the height your mate wants, see if it scrubs and go from there... If its low naturally it will create allot of camber so i would expect -2*plus for sure
  5. The stock set up will deal with anything you throw at it mate . 16x8 shouldn't be much problem at all as long as the arches are rolled? I personally would work the arches to not scrub the tyres rather then push the camber, caster etc. I ran 3*+ camber all round with 8.25J ET0 so i would expect to see anything upto 2*+ if he's running a lower profile tyre.
  6. Yeah i remember you selling it man, I had my grey one back them. You should have boosted it! these things fly.
  7. Cheers dudes! its coming together slowly, the warmer it gets and the less salty the roads become the more progress i can make
  8. Its not needed really, the lower nipple *haha nipple* just helps realse the valve earlier by inflating the lower half of the diaphragm. This will stop surge as its realising the excess pressure off throttle before it can reverse direction back towards the turbo compressor wheel (flutter). You wont be running enough boost or building enough pressure to warrant it really but it wouldn't harm connecting it up to another vac source (would need to be a separate vac source to the top nipple)
  9. Riiiiiight! Finaly got these SOB tyres mounted! Have a small problem now though ... There is a possible leak on two of the wheels, i belive its coming from the actual join between the lips and barrels . need to do some more investigating but its just another set back for these pain in the arse wheels! On other news though i'm booked in mid February to go Race-Tech for turbo rebuild, remap and exhaust fabrication! should be gooood
  10. It looks like it did originally... apart from its been broken and put back together like 3 times haha! Just imagine you could have had a complete beast at this stage and further last year if you had kept with it. Your a crazy mofo but its the crazies that make the best cars lol. Top work mate
  11. Oh also i'm 99% sure the Type S in genuine, I'v had a few and this although its very shiny it only appears to be polish. It has the cast Greddy mark and internal metal components over the fake plastic ones, Sounds original and doesn't leak so its either a very good condition original or an amazing fake haha
  12. Cheers guys, problem with the XXR's is there soooo common in the mx5 world... much like Rota's. BBS are very very VAG but not to commonly seen planted on Jap machines. I'l throw a bit of an update down and see how you feel: I had a quick hour to knock up a concept in photo shop, (the wheels are pants but making flat chrome is a nightmare!) Picked up some more wheels related stuff: 195/45/15 T1r's Then some super rare and hard to find Runabout M2 mirrors came from the land of all things Jap
  13. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeee...... Nice
  14. well done guys, top work. Quick question though... where's our join dates gone?
  15. Can always pick up some 20/30mm spacers... should fill the arches perfectly. Chrome lips, purple centres with your white paint would look pretty sick.
  16. Yup there made by Dare, who own/are a sister company of 3SDM... hence the cheapness. They do look nice and like the 3SDM come in a fairly nice width and offset. I'd go for them over the 0.002's any day
  17. Yeah i wouldn't look at the price haha, sweeet wheels though. For the dolla you cant go wrong with the 3SDM... they weight a fair amount though.
  18. Well my new wheels finally showed face and ooooo there nice- 15x9, custom Ivory cream centres with 3" lips allround
  19. I had those wheels and didn't like them, but they are cheap and come in a reasonable offset and width
  20. It will be fine, allot of turbo applications run the dump valve on the opposite side to the TB... either or it doesn't make a difference. As long as it doesn't get in the way down there your fine mate.
  21. I believe your 3S-GE is missing a T! lol. Nice work man
  22. blown engine for the winz! Yay for cheap alternatives
  23. yeah manz boost creep kills ye, try running super max boosts like 0.85 barz and be rapidz but if you hit FC like real bad back it off ye. trial and errorz
  24. You need as little back pressure as possible, the less restricted the flow is from the exhaust housing the better. I also second not needing a race mani, there's no point. The stock will flow more then you will need, i would bin that off the list and put the money towards a decent ECU If your doing track driving you will want an ecu with proper knock /timing control!
