  1. Update Soooo.... This is where it all began, Daves red mx5: Top bloke which made my 600mile round trip that whole load more easy. It was a great base but had many plans to change it as soon as i got home First thing i did the next day was stip out the interior: Removed the RX7 seats and all the dash, crash pads etc etc I spent ages sculpting my oem seats from my last car to fit my fine behind and had grown attached to the OEM interior look with flocked items, so: Next up i received some Tinted sidelights from Taiwan as america wouldn't ship to me for some reason: Then the
  2. glad everyone approves. i didn't bother taking pics of the front as it isnt low enough yet so looks kinda odd. more awesomeness to come even though it is a.... mazda
  3. A few more pics to keep things rolling (slowly). Mocking up some Project G side skirts on big soup tins , lowered the rear to final(ish) height and took some quick snaps Arches get rolled and flared the coming Tuesday so i promise some proper pics then!
  4. In terms of what i want from the car no, my plan was just n/a and enjoy the simple life but when this car came up at a good price i had to have it
  5. which is why you buy a mx5 with a GT2554R strapped to it i'm busting 250bhp of RWD awesomeness!
  6. Quick in the box pic... Flat black 527's all the way from the Cali shores
  7. I wont divulge anything as of yet but with the help from Project-G in America this should be a pretty neat 5 09/09/11 Recived delivery from america this morning of these awesome rims
  8. yeah pretty much, as long the cable is long enough. Its all down to preference really... i only run a rear and thats on the left. obviously make sure there not hydro as that would be slightly more complicated lol
  9. There some mighty sexy updates dude! about time you got an exhaust . allways loved the reflets on my black v and those look riiight at home on yours . Now get a fmic and plub the EBC in! same spec i ran and made 170 under fuel cut
  10. Mmmmm Orange! bit of a beast that
  11. i'd much prefer some rash from a small height Vs jumping a 13ft double coming off, putting my tooth through my lip, concussing myself and then getting a bike flip over and have the axle hit you on the back of the head .... Yeah the above might be a tad hardcore for starting out, Kona stuff isnt that bad and prices are pretty reasonable ;). i'd probably go for a big hit/full suspension for trails but i guess it depends how complex the trails are.
  12. DMR, 24seven, Identity.... they would be my choices , Possible out of budget though. I used to dirt jump then had some crazy harsh fall! now keep it safe with street bmx
  13. Power to weight figures doesn't mean your necessarily faster... traction, suspension, tyres, they all play a part Being light does help though.
  14. The guy is speaking out of his arse! There is no way, no matter what size compressor or exhaust wheels was placed in the tiny ct9 housing would one ever be capable of flowing 300bhp . Would probably last a week before shitting the oil seals. If you want a new CT9 or Hybrid talk to Enzo on here: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....d=shop&id=1

    Antilag?

yeah its not great, lots of aspects to running anti-lag like off throttle the inlet butterfly is kept slightly open or an air injector, bypassing the inlet butterfly, is used to maintain air supply to the engine. Off throttle the timing will alter anything upto 40° i think in the retarded direction, along with becoming very rich! to keep the turbo on boost between gear changes. Creates a massive amount of heat build up and unless you want to get through turbo's like clean boxers its not worth it on a daily drive. there are various levels of AL and can be put on a switch to turn on and
  16. As Drivers said, the less restrictive the better... the more flow you can get post turbo the better it will be. 3" would be ideal for that power level but anything from 250-300 2.5 imo isnt to bad.
  17. Erm well its a reeealy old turbo in terms of design and general age, they where used on the JDM Legacy RS between 89-93. Not really meant for big power and will produce no more then a modern mapped TD04 imo. I would defiantly get a 16G over the VF12. you can pick up a good condition Subaru 16G with the bend on the intake housing still there which i think is handy as you can run a front mount filter right from the turbo. A good Google search will probs bring up alot more then my vague knowledge will tell you
  18. Rick you have to be 25 with those guys... i'm 23 and tried as they have great policies but said i was still to young. Either way insurance on these is a joke now! back when i had mine i payed £700 at 18/19. also any online quote you get doesn't mean shit, soon as you ring them up they get a few more details then flog you off and say no we cant insure you or raise the price ten fold. Do what everyone else has done... wait, unless you minted just bide your time till its affordable.
  19. have you tried turning down your actuator? put that to stock boost levels and see if the stock ecu will run that. (remember to reset the ecu to remove fault codes). then try again.
  20. its a 3.0L auto non-turbo, thats fail enough for me haha.
  21. With the small displacement engine and short downpipe Ep's are never going to pop and bang like mad as the fuel doesn't hit the exhaust in the same way. The pops and bangs is purely excess fuel igniting in your exhaust system (not necessarily good long term). Flames are the same but with allot more fuel being burnt in the system. You can achieve it but need a standalone or piggy back thats fully mappable.... on the map it would need to run rich top end of the rev map but also when you come off throttle the map can be made so the injectors still add a tiny bit, this will end up in the exhaus
